suboxone 4 hours after heroin

Ok so ive been on suboxone for 2 days then shot a small amount of heroin, not thinking about precipitated wds I took 4mg of suboxone 4 hours later so that I wouldnt wake up sick and experienced no ill effects. My question is why did it not send me into precipitated wd? Ive done a lot of reading and searching and I know there is a huge amount of threads about dope and suboxone etc, but couldn't find an answer to the question so im sorry if this has been answered before. Thank you for any info in advance
