I'm wondering if anyone has thoughts on this or if anyone can enlighten me. I'm wondering if there's any reason to believe that Sublocade may be more dangerous in combinations than other, short-acting forms of Buprenorphine. By short-acting I just mean formulations that aren't extended release. My main concern if you can call it that is Sublocade mixed with other depressants. I got the 300mg shot, so technically speaking, I DO have 300mg of buprenorphine in my body even if it's not all active at the moment. If someone were to pop a benzo or a carisoprodol or something do you think they'd be in more danger than someone who is on daily maintenance and does 2 sublingual doses? My gut tells me that sublocade is no more dangerous but I figured I'd ask

Short answer no. But I don't know your tolerance to all 3 meds mentioned.

If you have a tolerance already of 2mg sublingual a day al ready and use benzos, then I see no real concern ( dose dependant ) .

I see your first dose of sublocade is 300mg and next month 100mg and then get and keep you stable at that dose for 6 months and then after further future discussion need to be made.

"No" as in no cause for concern in terms of mixing (assuming one has tolerance to buprenorphine)?. I've been using buprenorphine for months now, kratom for months before that. Been depending on either suboxone or kratom since the covid pandemic, switching back and forth.

I was on 4mg daily of buprenorphine for a while, went up to 6mg for a few weeks and then up to 8mg for a month before getting the 300mg sublocade shot. I figure assuming it works it's way into and out of your system at an even rate, it comes out to about 10mg per day.

I have 250mg of carisoprodol which I really wanna take due to the horrible shoulder/neck tension and pain. Been taking Tylenol and naproxen. Along with my gabapentin it helps a little bit but it's still very painful. Unfortunately I don't have enough gabapentin to eat a fistful

With the above mentioned you will be fine. And yes that sublocade shot lasts long, longer then just a month and remembering from what I heard your body only absorbs about 60-80% of that shot due the way it breaks down and gets metabolized and so on. But you good to brother, from my side

Glad to hear. That's what I was thinking but you can never be too cautious. I am still in really bad pain tonight but ended up taking 1000mg tylenol, 200mg ibuprofen and 1200mg gabapentin. If I'm still in this bad of pain tomorrow night, I will skip the extra gabapentin and take that small dose of Carisoprodol. It sucks, I was at the doctor earlier and one of their check in questions is "Are you experiencing any pain today?". I had forgotten about my neck. It got much worse during work which I went to directly after my appointment. I'm sure that I probably could have gotten a prescription for a few days worth of a muscle relaxer

What is causing the pain, old injury or new or something that just came out the blue?

If it was muscle related I would think a good dose bupre and gabapentin should sort it out and now you added asap and ibuprofen and nanda? Something else at play here..

Cam you get to a doc

I carry my stress and tension in my shoulders and the base of my neck. I also have bad posture and my job requires leaning forward and kinda hunching over for most of the day. It leads to me getting extremely tense muscles out of nowhere and getting a big knot and/or pinched nerve. It makes certain movements extremely painful.

This is something that has happened to me for years. My back and shoulders are always tense and sore but this painful pinched nerve thing happens maybe a few times a year and typically lasts for a few days to a week. I'm kicking myself because I WAS at the doctor earlier in the day when it got really bad. The check-in nurse asked if I was in pain and I had forgotten about it because it didn't hurt right that moment. I have another appointment at the end of the moth but I should be feeling bnetter by then.

The sublocade, 1200mg of Gabapentin and 1000mg of Acetaminophen really helps the pain. Unfortuately I'm running out of gabapentin and wont be able to get more until the 12th or 13th. That combo helps the pain but doesn't treat the root cause. I've taken muscle relaxers when this has happened before and it fixes the problem. The muscles relax so whatever is tense is finally able to relax and breathe and the inflammation finally has a chance to go down because it isn't constantly getting pressed on. IDK how to describe it.

Unfortunatey I have to be careful with NSAIDs. I'm on spironolactone and the combination can cause low blood pressure. When the pain gets really nad I've been taking 220mg of Naproxen sodium with 750mg-1000mg of Acetaminophen. I try to keep the NSAIDs to one dose a day if I can. I wish I wasn't on buprenorphine right now because I have 30mg of Hydrocodone in my box sitting there mocking me
