subforum for seniors ? - long post

New member although have been reading and researching here for about 2 yrs.I somehow get the impression that I am in the minority age wise.I think most members are much younger-teens - 20 somethings, have no probs w that although I would like to hear from older BLs so we can compare notes.
I started my journeys at age 15 in 1970 with clear window pane out of Dallas, tried just about everything in the ensuing yrs until I got married at age 30 and cut back to weed and booze and the occasional goodie on the down low - wife very scared of drugs but will take any money making crap the doc Rxs.
I had some of the pure x tabs when they were legal just before they were banned:\
great stuff but do not trust pills anymore, so...................I
have tried several of the 2cxs and a couple of trypts and need someone with many yrs experience to discuss the new stuff vs the classics.Have much history with orange barrel, purple microdot, window pane, blotters and pyramid shaped gels of all colors.One of my favs during the 70's was thc tic T which I am sure was some form of pcp! great stuff for me gave me that happy confident good outlook on the world while others completely lost their shit and didn't eve know their names.

Ageism has no place here. There's nothing that age will necessary give someone for experience that someone younger couldn't have too.

I don't think we necessarily need an entire forum for the older generation to get into. But nothing is stopping you from creating a thread for the oldies ;)

Welcome to BL, you'll find there's people of every age here the more you stick around.
 
no offense Coolio ageism had nothing to do with my post.It is not the age issue but the 35 t0 40 yrs accumulated trips.
I believe with my 40 yrs of experience with psycoactives I could contribute to the the BL knowledge base , just seems like many BLers have very little experience with the true classics that I can discuss with.
For instance, when I want to ask how 2cx compares to the dancing test tube blotters that were around in 1982 I don't want to wade through 25 posts from 13 yr olds telling me how they tripped balls off of xxx tabs which could be anything.I would like to communicate with someone with similar life experiences.No ageism just experienceism.

I'm liking you already mondocombo :)

I would try making a thread in Drug Culture to rally up people to reflect on the old days.

Psychedelic Drugs should help you maybe find a little bit more specific info if it's psychedelics you're wanting to discuss.

Dude, LSD is LSD. It doesn't matter what kind of imprint it had on it. Just like Ecstasy pills, dealers copy each others' prints/logos and there are identical looking batches going around at the same time that were made by different people with different LSD but are indistinguishable. The shipping and handling time from synthesis to your mouth makes most of any difference due to degradation. The set and setting made up any other subjective differences you experienced.

Kids eating LSD today are getting the same experience you did in 1970.

How many times have you taken LSD? I have known a few people to have taken over 100 LSD trips by the time they're 18. Had you taken LSD that many times at that age?
 
true LSD is LSD , but you have no way of knowing what is on a piece of paper these days.With all these new chems could be just about anything.
There just weren't that many things available back in the day.
sometimes you need a true frame of reference.I never counted my trips ,sorry.
You seem to be the one afflicted by ageism-hostile and combative due to my one simple question. Don't trust anyone over 30 huh?
 
No, you just haven't offered a valid reason why older people should segregate themselves and discuss things amongst themselves. It makes no sense to me.

There are plenty of ways to know if what you're taking is LSD, from reagent tests to TLC to sending it to a lab to have it GC/MS analyzed.

You're also wrong if you think Psychedelic Drugs is mostly kids... a lot of the regulars and most active posters are older guys. They just don't glamourize their nostalgia.

Maybe you should PM Le Junk if you want to reminisce about the good old days when men were men and drugs were real.

Apologizes to any and all mods - please delete this useless thread, I gave some background info and asked 1 simple question which coolio decided was some sort of attack
