I really want to go on them and have no idea really what to expect. Going from a fairly substantial H habit, will I still feel the crushing pain of wd or will it abate once I take this? After the full day of wd, is taking the subs like a huge relief or barely noticeable difference? After awhile will you feel a buzz from it and look forward to taking it? Or is it basically like you're doomed to experience the majority of wd like always, but this may just take the extreme edge off it or shorten the duration by a day!

I need something that will let me live a relatively normal life working and being motivated again without desperately seeking the high and going through hell when I run out.

if you have tolerance at all it will make you feel normal; the first 3 days transitioning over can be a bit rough and you might have minor wd's if you dont take enough Sub...

Once stable sub makes you feel absolutely normal and pretty good for the most part;

I've been bad lately and switching back and forth but its not recommended; the transition period is always 2-3 days to feel normal again..

Even today is my second day on sub and i felt pretty shitty all day

It should make you feel pretty normal. You should not be sick at all. Any uncomfortableness you experience won't be withdrawal, but rather side effects such as possible nausea, tiredness, etc.

But you can be perfectly functional on suboxone

All signs point to the fact that the Buprenorphine opioid binding affinity is significantly stronger than that of Naloxone, therefore cancelling out its implied "blocking" efficacy. Yet... 24 hours after dosing my last 8mg suboxone strip, 30 - 45mg of oxycodone seems to have no effect other than some dizziness and what I can only describe as empty-headedness.

Is it just a mental thing, am i simply psyching myself out? Or is the naloxone still present, and now that the bupe has worn off, the naloxone is occupying my opioid receptors and the oxy isn't strong enough to win the proverbial battle?

Sorry I threw this in to a thread that I didn't start. I'm new to this site and couldn't figure out how to start my own discussion.

Would appreciate a real answer not something like, "You're a retard and I'm really smart.." I seem to be getting a lot of that. I appreciate that there are many people in here who are much smarter and more knowledgeable than I am. That's why I joined this thing. So again I plead, real responses only.

Suboxone works extremely well but you have to wait until you are well in to the withdrawal period before you take your first dose, otherwise it's going to make you feel very... weird, for lack of a better word. You don't want your first experience to be a negative one otherwise you will probably stray away from the suboxone detox idea. It works though. Took me from 300+mg of oxy EVERY day for over a year, and I've been clean thanks to subs for almost a year now.

You can also get prescribed "Subutex" too. The only difference is, subutex doesn't contain the naloxone that suboxone does. In most cases it will be cheaper. It seems to be the concensus among users and medical professionals that the ration of buprenorphine to naloxone is such that the naloxone does not serve any purpose other than to make the drug more expensive for patients and thus more profitable to the docs.

Criminals!!

Lol. Seriously though.. if you want to get suboxone you need to first search for doctors in your area that are licensed to prescribe it. There are surprisingly few doctors who have taken the time to acquire said license.
