STYLE WARZ what clobber are you after?

My mum would never buy me expensive trainers ;_;
I guess she knew that the difference in price was a bit fucking ridiculous as it wasn't always reflective of quality.

edit: when i've had shoes last for 6-12 months that cost under £20 it does feel a bit irritating. Let's face it the price isn't representative of the workmanship or cost of materials, it's a label thing.

I think even if you get 6-12 months out them you can't really complain, what did he pay for them Wibs, £50? Works out quite cheaply over 12 month period like. Always found Adidas trainers have lasted as long as I wanted them to, I usually buy a new pair just because I'm bored of them or they look a bit scruffy not because there's actually anything wrong with them.

Well I've been wearing Adidas / Nikes all my life practically and they've never fallen apart as far as I can remember which is why I always buy them. Dunno what you do with your trainers but I've got mines on every day of the week and they don't get damaged by just walking in them. You playing football with bricks or something Shammy? :D

The point was that I have already gotten six months out of mine and they are still going strong. I paid £3 for mine and he paid £60-odd for his.

The trainers at school would have been used for the odd game of football at lunchtime... but not many cos I'm a lazy bastard and don't like football. Just general wear and tear. I'm not saying that brand name trainers are worse than cheap ones - just that there's not all that much difference if any. Some cheap stuff falls apart, some expensive stuff does. Price does not equate to quality or longevity, in my experience.

Snap, when I was a kid for PE I'd always have cheap but, proper fitting trainers. I have always had wide feet, so most trainers were too narrow for me. It resulted in some petty comments from kids in senior school, and a bitchier comment from me back to them. We had a PE uniform, but it didn't extend to trainers, eventually they made us all wear Black PE plimsolls. Problem solved.

I bought some converse copies at New Look, and ASDA, they're still going strong a year on, except a bit filthy :)

But you do get SHIT loads more in a standard cheap economy BNQ pot. So, I guess it all equals out.

What it probably comes down to is labour, if you can be arsed to do a three coat job, or pay more for a quick job.

Ha, as I wrote that I thought of prostitutes and paying for a wank, or a fuck. My minds on a train line today it seems ;)

How on earth do you get from clothes, to paint, to hookers? :D

Clever, you quoted me after I decided to edit.

It made sense to my mind. I'll explain if you wish. I typed 'quick job' and then my mind jumped to hand jobs, then read that I'd written 'three coat job' and my mind thought of sex....

Tis how my mind works innit. Never keeps the same theme.

Understand?

Nevermind.

I have totally contradicted myself for when i buy boots,Caterpillar are THE best.

However,Dulux paint is better than the Crown which is better than the old Woolworths brand.

I just got some nice CAT boots, first thing I've worn since DC's, Circa's, etc for years.

These days I generally put on whatever is available as I'm unemployed etc. Tracksuit bottoms or jeans and a standard t-shirt and then always a hoody.

Wearing this hoody at the moment:

eDDe that's a pretty flash shirt and I bet it cost you a lot. What surprises me is the quality of the buttons, they're pretty poor and machine stitched, i'd have thought if that cost you a £100 plus that the buttons would at least be not plastic and properly stitched on :|

Attention to detail like that in tailoring is %) and noticeable :)

Just treated myself to a new shirt. 1 of 500, Italian silk and cotton.
