Stupid manic episode lands me in the hospital

Well i'll keep this short but last week I went sleepless for 7 days straight on no drugs except my psych meds, which probably kept me from going totally manic. Anyways by the 6th day I was so physically/mentally/emotionally drained that I decided that it would be just the smartest idea to binge out on hydromorphone. Over the course of two days I probably Iv'd 30 pills (1mg) with no pill filter (yes I realize now that was very stupid) but in my mania I just wanted solace. So my left hand got infected horribly, at first I found a good vein and shot into in and then it was just skin popping ><. My hand swelled up to almost twice its normal size and I had to go to the hospital and get a huge abbess drained (yucky). Now I'm on anti bionics and I can say I'm scared away from the needle forever, that was a really bad experience. Im not sure what the point of this post is but if anything I hope someone learns not to skin pop or at least use pill filters.

ive been to the hospital due to mania and psychosis and then got institutionalised for a month or smthing, although i used acid instead of hydromorphone while i was manic lol

i hope you recover from the experience and any trauma from it soon ~, ending up in ER sucks

what i learned from my experience is that things can go downhill really fast if you start going multiple days with barely any sleep, i think it makes it a lot easier to become unbalanced

i keep seroquel around incase i notice im not sleeping or i think im becoming manic, but that hasnt happened yet thankfully

I think it might be good to speak to your psych doctor about the meds you're on. Evidently your mania isn't under control.
