Film Street Thief

I recently saw this on AandE thought it was absolutly fantastic. I have no idea whether its a real documentary or just a really realistic movie. These two film makers follow a theif in Chicago through a series of robberies that seem very realistically done. Captivating interviews and a sense of is this for real make it special. Has anyone else seen it if so do you think it was a real documentary or just a movie? I dont think its available on video but I think AandE nwill prolly play it again.

I saw it and liked it as well. Do you think he ended up getting killed? Oh, and I don't think it was an actual real documentary...

I caught the first half of the movie a little while ago. It was indeed a mockumentary, but it was relatively well done from what I saw.

I think he faked his death knowing that when the film came out or if the police ever found the film he would be royally screwed. why would someone kill someone leave a dirty crime scene and take the body.

Super old post that I'm responding to, but I'm wondering if more people have seen this now. Just watched it and was a little disappointed to find out it wasn't a real documentary, but it was still a cool movie and really well done.

With the crime scene they found I figured he must have gotten shot or something and then ran off. I figured whoever attacked him probably took his body once he was down from his wounds. They showed a few quick shots of the crime scene and you saw his sunglasses and cigarettes nearby his car as if they fell off him when he was trying to make an escape.
