strangest Triggers for you

The two biggest ones for me are shitty weather(ie:rain, snow)and the first two Christian Death albumd

^ how is that strange tho

My mortar and pestle

I'd agree, though that ain't super strange IMO. I use my M&P for drugs almost exclusively.

Freshly cut grass gives me opiate cravings. Summer=nostalgia=pain=need for pain-killing? Idfk.

Sometimes, out of nowhere, I'll catch the scent of oxy in the air. Not while thinking about oxy, not while anywhere near oxy or anyone who's used oxy or anything which has touched oxy or anywhere where I used to use oxy, and it never happens with other drugs, just oxy. I'll be walking somewhere random and breath in and suddenly that bitter plastic smell is in my nose and I have to stop and clear my head and remind myself that I'm not sitting at my desk crushing pills for a shot.

This one isn't strange in that it triggers me, but strange in general - at the chemist I go to to pick up suboxone, there's a small wooden panel to right and shelves of pills to the front and left of the area where I dose. On the panel to the right is a poster which contains nothing but pictures of every single prescription opioid medication distributed in this country, labelled (including some formulations I'd never heard of). To the front is a shelf and a half of temazepam, diazepam, clonazepam, nitrazepam (used to have alprazolam, before they rescheduled it), as well as half a shelf of tramadol a few shelves down, and to my right is boxes of different brands of codeine pills stacked about hip height (bearing in mind that codeine was my first opiate, my first drug habit, I used it heavily for nearly a year). Sometimes I wonder if it's a sick joke on their behalf, why put a poster full of strong opiates in an area where none of those meds are stored? Why store all the weak opiates and benzos right where the addicts (all 2 of us :| ) have to stand at least twice a week - a few centimeters out of arms reach? It's not like they lack shelf space which is completely out of sight, where every other pharmacy in the city keeps their benzos and codeine. Although I have to fair, they're nice otherwise, and the chick who hands me my strips is cute, so it beats the chemist horror stories I hear from other people on maintenance.

I can't even look at a Rite-Aid. Those giant pill bottles! A man can only dream.

The color orange like bright ass orange small things that look like needle caps. Sends chills up my spine every fucking time.
Also summertime when I'm in the city. The smell and humidity bugs me out

It's not strange but it was the only one really, alcohol!

When ever I got to the pub and had a couple of beers (Stella) that was it, I'd get on the coke for the rest of the night.

Old refrigerators have a smell that reminds me of nasty x tabs or decent MDMA. I don't know why. Macaroni makes me wanna get stoned.

I used to be a big drinker, but that changed up about a decade ago when I discovered how much better opiates are. Thus, I seldom drink, but I have triggers which make me wish to do so. Certain rock n roll music/certain songs are the biggest. R.E.M., Tom Petty, The Smithereens, Midnight Oil, and definitely country music. This is some of the music I listened to a lot in my drinking days, and in a certain mood, if I hear it, I really want to crack a cold beer. The feeling passes usually, when I remember how shitty alcohol makes me feel the day after, but I do occasionally give into the urge. I cannot drink without music blasting.

the movie angel's egg gets me salivating for some hypnotics. it's not even hard to avoid it, it's obscure as hell but it pops in my mind all the time now, and every time i think about it i want to take something

when i IVed shit i'd always clean everything multiple times with this cleaning alcohol product from a specific brand that had a particular smell.

that particular smell always makes me remember of sitting naked in the toilet and poking my arm several times.

that's it for me, not that weird i guess but i never played too much with needles so don't really have that much memories

The book series the dresden files( about a wizard detective)

Hah! I read the 7th book while wasted on some of the best H I've ever had, constantly nodding off and having to re-read pages, in the end I only remembered half the plot.
