Strange Marquis result from amphet..

Ok, a friend of mine recently got hold of some amphetamine and put through the Marquis reagent test. Strangely it came out with a blackish result with a very slight hint of a dark, dark red in the background. He tried it and confirms it to be speed but has anyone else had similar results with the test? Guess there could be some trace of MDXX in there but he claims no real taste of said product...

Black + Red does not = amphetamine.

How old is your tester. A brand new tester should be purchased if its over 6 months.
How did the black eventuate? Whas it a blue->purple->black or grey to black?

A test result like this is very strange. I would NOT be consuming anything with an unconclusive test result. If its not testing up for MDMA or amphetamines then either your tester is bad or its not one of those chemicals. If its not one of those chemicals then it could be absoultely anything. The chances of getting something more dangerous are a lot lot higher.

I found out why... he said he went and shoved a load of crushed up pills in there as well.
