Harm Reduction Strange Injection Site Reaction - 8 weeks after shooting

I've been clean for more than a month and a half. My last I.V.-related binges have been with MDA, Oxycontin and Adderall. Recently, I've been noticing weird mosquito-bite-looking welts at the places on my arm where I used to shoot up the pills. I suspect it has something to do with insoluble remnants of the pills I shot (Oxy 40mg, Barr Generic Adderall 30mg)

The welts start out about dime sized and usually grow to the size of a half dollar (!). They itch but they aren't tender (like a missed shot of oxy can).

Has anybody heard of this sort of thing?

Yeah, it's been awhile but the last time I binged hard was in Mid-December, shot grams and grams of cut MDA and missed a few shots (stupidly) shooting pills.

You'd think I would've noticed these symptoms at some point in the past two months... The delay in presentation of symptoms is what concerns me.

No way, you are only one of 3 people (myself included) to explicitly mention IVing MDA. I have only heard of a handful of others who have tried IVing MDMA. And yet others who have attempted this with tablets (not powder).

You should write a trip report about your IV MDA experience in your spare time.

I also think that it is due to the inactive ingredients. I would try micron filtering the pills, if you didn't already. Did you? The only difference between what you're describing and what I've seen is the size, I have only seen a tiny one, the size of a mosquito bite or slightly smaller.

Is Adderall worth IVing to you? I haven't heard many good praises of it. I don't use Adderall at all, and I wouldn't consider IVing d-amphetamine again. Meth is the only stimulant (without any sort of psychedelic effect) that I would consider IVing again.

I see you haven't used in a month, so good for you. :) I am sorry to hear about this delay in the progression of symptoms though, that is the only thing I haven't heard of either, what I was previously talking would happen and go away within the first few hours of the injection.

I would get medical help if it's getting worse and not better.

I'm not surprised more people haven't IV'd MDA, because the IV dope/coke scene usually doesn't overlap too much with the hippie/rave scene. Everyone I know who does MDA is perfectly content with sniffing it, and..well..coming off a serious heroin addiction (from comfortably middle-class to homeless in 6 months)...IV just seemed like the most obvious choice. I've asked for wheel filters at several pharmacies and couldn't find any. Out of sheer irresponsibility, I've procrastinated buying some from online. Could you PM me some info on a reliable source for getting wheel filters?

I *did* read your trip report and was quite impressed. However, my experience was practically the exact opposite. Instead of one large dose, I started small (20mg) and repeatedly injected larger and larger doses (up to 1.25g) over the course of 48 hours. Instead of a spiritual bliss, it was pure hedonistic bliss. In terms of needle-pokes, it was upwards of 50-60 total, due to the bluntedness of the tips. By the end, I was utterly paranoid, shaking hard, and fiending badly for more. That led me into another downward spiral wherein I began injecting whatever I could find (some of which I am too embarrassed to mention except to say that they begin with "propoxy" and end with "phene").

The contrast is quite shocking, but I attribute it mostly to my state of mind, the dosing regime, and a fairly recent psychological trauma that I'd consciously decided to evade by using drugs. I had no intentions of stopping from the beginning, so it makes sense that binging on a psychedelic/euphoriant would simply cause even greater cravings for euphoriants.

Interesting story nonetheless though. I enjoyed reading what you had to say about it nonetheless.
