Hello, I have been a on and off again opiate user for ten years now. I am 29. I was addicted to a gram a day of heroin, IV, and have been clean from that for over two years, (yay)! But the last couple months have been rough and I have resorted back to what I know best to cope, opiates. I took about a hundred milligrams two days in a row of hydrocodone and then had nothing for about 40 hours. Then I took 40 more milligrams on Monday and then 20 milligrams yesterday. So I am right around 24 hours with nothing. I work long hours and I am just trying to find out how bad my WDs will be. Any advice would be much appreciated thank you!

Just a few days shouldn't do much and it's hydrocodons which I believe are easier than most opiates to detox..don't make it out like your past withdrawal with heroin, it will make it worse if u think it is going to be real bad..u will have some rebound anxiety and cravings for a few days and maybe a runny nose

Absolutely. This should be much more manageable. I suggest you plan your life so that you could include exercises, hobbies and live the present. You know the drill and I am pretty sure you can do this! You know you have that strength in you.
Good luck and welcome to Bluelight!

:) thanks u guys! Yeah I relapsed this time for about 3 months but I feel okay, agitated, runny nose, but surprisingly no let too bad. I'm about thirty hours in now. I'm at work now, my job is very physical so that's why I was so fearful. I will repost tomorrow and let u guys know how it's going, trying so hard, and I know I can do it I have came so far.

If you're not feeling bad withdrawal symptoms by now, you're probably not going to feel them. That small amount of hydrocodone shouldn't be holding all your symptoms at bay from any real heroin habit.

Now it's important that you focus on staying sober. Are you doing any sort of exercises? 4 times a week, 45 minutes to 1 hour every other day.
Like I mentioned before, try to keep yourself busy. Cravings come and go and they don't last that long, keep postponing if it comes to that and find something pleasurable so you use your time wisely. Do you like to read, play games, movies, TV, travelling, when I joined the local gym I have these new friends. Fun to be with. Do you have a job? Study?
Enjoy your freedom! :) Think positive!!
Take care,
E.

I'm about 48 hours in and I do feel kinda bad. Just skin feels weird, upset stomach, general feeling of unwellness. I had been taking a pretty high milligram for about three months, but like I said I had went 40 hours without anything then did about 200 mg for two days then 40 one day then 20. I do have a job and I have to b there in about two hours, egh. But I know it gets better right around 72 so I think i will okay. Just sucks

Hang in there!
After the 3 day mark it usually starts getting better :)
You seem to be doing okay over all, just keep a strong mind!

You can do this!! Find the strength in you and this will soon be over.
Take care and good luck!

Your doin great..I meant a few months in my other post not days..once u get past the dreaded day 3 u will start to feel better..if u have access to Kratom and can control its use I think it's great for physical jobs during withdrawal..I worked construction and it was a lifesaver for those first few days of work..just a suggestion but if u are already so far in I would stick to cold turkey if u can

It's an option but if you can manage to stay off - even better imo/e.
