I have used venlafaxine about 5 years total and came off it twice. The last time I came off was due to high BP which the venlafaxine made worse. And I dont think it was doing anything anyway.
Second withdrawal was actually easier than the first one, dont know why but it was mainly the zaps which lasted for few months. The first one included being emotional fuckup too which made it worse. However i dont remember it being THAT hard, just a bit nasty. Quitting benzos or opiates is 10x worse for me. I had to taper a little by just taking couple granules (emptying the capsule) here and there when the zaps were bad enough to make it bearable.
I have not have thyroid problems to my knowledge, ive been tested once but not very recently. What kind of symptoms these thyroid problems included for you?
