Reply to TRS meth in Canada:

I live in the Maritimes and meth is availible for those who seek it but its not widespread. The main drug of choice by junkies still seem's to be crack, and diludid/oxycodone. Now the further west you go in Canada the worse it gets. My understanding is that in Vancouver meth is becoming the drug of choice for junkies because of its general cheapness and length of high. And more centrally in Toronto/Montreal its easily available but I don't know how mainstream the abuse of the drug is. I'm lucky living in close proximity to where the beans are manufactured. The east coast we usually have an abundance of different beans to pick from. What happens is if a bad bean comes around (one of low quality, or mad speed bomb) then it usually won't sell and its shipped south :\ through Maine and god knows where from there. ***No more meth in pills***. Stop buying is the solution. PLUR

I will also try to get support from DS and BL ,PR (maybe to eventually get links when things are looking good

Just a few ideas/notes here:

Since we *are* harm reduction (who else is doing it for us besides DS, eData - they can't even keep funds...sigh...), we need to be very careful in how we word things. We need to know (for legal purposes):

1 - Are there other drugs out there that are being laced/cut/mixed with meth, besides ecstasy? I am not too hip on anything besides ecstasy & herb, (hubby has the 'cid knowledge) and wouldn't have a clue was to what drug(s) could be mixed with meth besides ecstasy. Bueller? Anyone?

2 - "We" need to get written authorization on anyone's website name we wish to be affiliated with/get support/whatever from - like BlueLight, DanceSafe, PillReports, Erowid, eData, ect. I do not know if these names are trademarked, copyrighted, ect, in the US, or abroad. Mods - could you help us on the BlueLight (and possibly Pill Reports) question? :-)

3 - WIPE OUT ANY LEGAL ISSUES BEFORE "WE" DO ANYTHING.

Because (most of us) are ecstasy users, we don't want to be waving around big huge red flags that say "hey, here we are! We're looking for quality beans!" (you get the point.) That is not the issue here. We have to take more of a NO METH AT ALL approach than opposed to no meth in ecstasy *alone*. (Tis ok with me, since I *personally* don't want to see meth at all in any shape or form!) That's why I'm interested to know if ANY other type of drug may be mixed/cut/whatever with meth. I'm a real blonde on that subject, sorry! :-P

However; the "no meth at all" approach could offend some people on BlueLight, since it is an "all bases covered" harm reduction website. We don't have to be backed by BL, but we *are* using their boards...

I just don't want to step on anyone's feet here. KWIM?

Ideas/suggestions? Anything else I am not thinking of?

I agree with you on replacing the 9% meth content to caffeine, I would too prefer that. But E is known as a rave drug where most prefer to take it. People at raves like to dance, the 9% meth content makes it easier to get off your but to dance. The vg's are almost 300 mg pills that kind of dose of mdma mashes people out. 30mg of meth per pill is not enough to do significant meth damage but enough to get your freak on. But again I for one and most of the people I know don't want meth period. A pickle indeed.

I know that the kids love the meth to dance to. But, that's because that's all that *most* of them have ever been exposed to. Your average "raver" is, what... 17-24 years old? (The "candy kids"...no offense!) Chances are they've never had a tab with *only* caffiene in it. Everywhere on eData meth is usually mixed *along with* caffiene. I'm sure some of them have gotten lucky and got a *e* tab of some kind (Mxxx) or another (usually MDA). But I notice they don't seeme to like that as much as it mixed (cringe!) with crackycrap. (IMHO, YMMV.)

I really don't like the way that DS puts up the percentages - eData is more accurate on the whole pharmaceutical level. Binders and fillers make up a portion of the pill, and I'd rather have the ratio results than the percentage results. It's just the way I prefer it, personally. I mean, who ever gets a 200mg MDMA bomb in the US? (hahahahaha!)

And I would agree that 300 mg of mdma might "mash" people if it was pure and total 300mg of "only " MDMA. There is filler/binder that is not accounted for.

Even with the binders/fillers pure mdma is pretty mashey, At least to me and others I talked too. And I see no other reason to put such a small amount of speed in a pill. Save money? caffeine's cheaper.

So how much of mdma would actually be in that pill? 150-180?.

You guys should see the Meth epidemic that plagues Houston.. its is absolutely Horrific.. it has even made the cover of the local Houston Press. When ever you go out EVERYONE is tweaking... everyone.. its absolutely out of control here. and now Houston PD had a METH task force now. Its going to only get worse here with all the New orleans evacuees we have here now... who were at the afterhours club the same night (2 wed ago) that the buses arrived.. scoring meth...

To those of you that Use Meth on a daily basis - I personally have dealt with a serious addiction that I recently kicked (except in the form of crappy tabs) that almost cost me everything in my life. I was a regular daily user from November of last year up until 2 months ago. In fact I think I slept maybe 9 out of the 31 days in January. and 14 days out of February.
I had a leach of a boyfriend that I dated for over a year that let Meth ruin his life. When I cut him off a couple of months ago, so stole some credit cards from my parents and pawned some shit to pay for his habit. He cheated on me and now he is about to serve 15-20 years in state prison for the decisions he made to get high.. I urge anyone who thinks that they have a controllable meth problem to i/m me and i'll tell you the truth that you might not see until its too late. Every day is a challenge to myself to stay off it. I have only broken down once in 2 months and I haven't touched it since.... its really hard. The only person who can help you stop is the person you see when you bend over to do a line.

Meth will turn you into a monster, and if your not the monster, the people you are with are using you and throwing you away and you will have nothing...... I have seen the bottom and luckily I had people to pick me up, and that cared. I escaped being arrested no Less then 8 times in the last 10 months.. thats too many close calls..

i had a friend in highschool (graduated 2003). She went from chillin in the suburbs to livin street kid style around montrose I think tweakin up a storm. I've seen her around everyonce in a while and she's always stayin random places, takin off on random trips with random dudes and she's definatly into the tweak. nasty shit I hate it.
 
I know so many hopeless souls that just live for that shit... It makes you crazy.. I have known people to literally go parnoid schizophrenic and try to kill his friends b/c he thought "if they die - everyone else can live" -f'ing crazy... are you in Houston

Thanks for that little story trancegirl. To People who have felt the rath of meth, story's like trancegirls Could help in this boycott to eduacate people who don't know about speed but are taking E knowing its in it but don't know the damage it could do.

^^It was going to shit way before january. About a year and a half ago is when I started to notice the change. Alot of pills started coming out with flat tops and domed bottoms that were junk, blue swade shoes, not always meth bombs but the quality was lacking. Shortly after that the Pornstars started coming, some of the worst excuse for real E ive ever seen. Its been mainly trash since then.


I think another angle of this is the cost ($) factor. Awhile back when there were fewer meth pills and mainly MDMA, or MDA they were way more expencive. Now you can get 10 pills for what 5 cost back then. The higher cost stoped alot of people from wanting to try it. Also as they keep lowering the dose of MDxx they are able to produce alot more pills. Making more aviable for youngins to get ahold of. I fear that it will just keep getting more popular as the price keeps going down allowing more, younger people to try it. Just imagine a country of tweeked out 6-7th graders.

I totally agree with you Var, And hopefully meth can get out of pills as fast as it got in, If this boycott works out like I think it will.
I wouldn't be so pissed if If I see meth in pills here and there but seriously the way it is now is completely unexceptable.

Hell, this country is already full of tweaked kids - they're all on Ritalin or Adderall. Imagine how they'd be on that + meth....fullgoosecrackin!, or in the hospital...(or worse...)

Unfortunately, tabs in my area have not went down in price. Still primo prices here for the most part. Depends on how close you are to the source. And 9 out of 10 are freakin' meth bombs...sometimes the odds are much worse.

Lower prices will mean more people will try it that wouldn't have before (plus it not being so "newsworthy" anymore)....I can see a nation of unknowing club kids turning into meth heads slowly but surely.

TONIGHT: "On FOX news at TEN"- There is a story on WHAT MASS TASK FORCE ETC. is doing to STOP THE FLOW OF METH FROM GOING INTO THE NORTH EAST! I couldnt believe it they were showing pills etc. check it out.
