I've been hitting the vapes really hard in the past few weeks as I've given up taking a lot of other drugs, as a none smoker after a week or so of hard vaping my chest can feel the abuse, there's a sharp pain in my lungs, and I'm coughing up crap, if I stop smoking for a few days it goes away/eases.
I'm 99% certain it's the vaping.
I don't have any real issues with my chest, and only smoked tobacco for a couple of years around 30 years ago, but had a fair few years smoking joints after that, in the past I had very mild seasonal asthma triggered by hay-fever which meant I'm prescribed the blue and brown inhalers, the brown 1 is a steroid. My hay-fever has improved as I've got older and the asthma simply vanished years ago.
While I love the taste of a good vape, when I smoke a lot I always get pain in my lungs (same with joints back in the day), as a result I avoid it preferring edibles instead, but honestly they're just not as good.
This morning after day ~9 of hitting the vapes and 3 days into lung pain on a whim I thought I would give the steroid inhaler a try, my thought process being that steroids can help with inflammation.
WOW, instant relief, pain gone in a split second.
While this is great, I really don't want to be taking steroids to smoke weed, I'll cut down vaping and will increase edibles, but I really do love the effect of smoking weed. I'm really missing the terpes and variety you can get from flower.
Question is what other options do I have to smoke weed that is easy on the lungs?
I need options that are grab & go, and highly covert ideally, so I've been using combined D9 & resin vapes with "crystal diamonds" and added terpes (none cannabis sourced) - this format is about the best compromise I can find in the UK, D9 on it's own is far too dull, I miss/want/need the terpes....In the UK it's pretty much impossible to get vapes that aren't D9 + resin + terpes.
I've considered a dab rig but it's going to draw too much attention but could be workable for occasional use - my worry is dabbing resin/rosin/shatter will be pretty tough on my lungs still, is it any easier than D9 + resin though?
Years ago I had 1 of the early flower vaporisers, smoking weed like this gave me similar lung pain after heavy use but I can't remember if it was easier on my chest or harder than D9 - also there's the practicality of getting a vape that's covert enough, and this includes the smell of the flower stinking the house out!
My other thought was to buy some resin/sugar/rosin and heat it myself until I get something that I can fill up a 510 cart with, but I suspect that this is going to be just as hard on my lungs as the D9 with resin.
I plan continuing to smoke occasionally regardless, and might give the DIY 510 carts a try anyway - mainly because this opens up a wider choice of full spectrum weed to me in the UK.
Any other options worth considering?
