I just finished writing this about a minute ago...
Statement of Work
I'm trying to find a climax in crystal
elaborating the metaphysics of a moment
that may or may not have existed
but no longer provides a stable core
for the description it evoked
making permanently questionable the context
in which these words bear the most weight
requiring an absolute engagement
the sequester of incoming attention
to result in the effect of
a kind of comprehension
suspending disbelief and assuming
all aspects of this account to be true
flirting with seizure
until one image reaches stasis
then the blur is transcribed
and released and exposed for performance
reiterated succesfully if only
the chill slows motion through time
desperate to watch itself be written.

Amazing things, moments.
This is sooo well written, I don't quite know what to say. :)

thank you, dagny :) I'm fond of this...though I was uncertain whether to append it at the bottom of my poetic theory thread...
I've never been able to comfortably write an ars poetica (a poem about poetry), so this piece really surprised me as it came out. My fiancee asked me to explain my poetry to her, and that's what I had in mind while I wrote it... :)
