What should expect going onto these medications? I'm 23 and this is the first time going on medication for anything. I am about 2 weeks off heroin but was only a short relapse I'm 6 weeks off doing it everyday. The Paxil is for anxiety/panic attacks and the Trazadone was prescribed for insomnia and restless leg syndrome. I came out of an extremely dysfunctional living environment and am in a healthier place now but my brain feels all whacked out. It's been 2 days so far and I've woken up really sick to my stomach with really bad headache both mornings and can only sleep for like 3-5 hours. Restless legs haven't stopped either. I've had Anxiety since I was pretty young and never did anything about it until now.

Paxil may slightly upset your stomach, give you a dry mouth, and increase appetite. It may also kill your sex drive. It'll take about 2 weeks for this medication to take full effect. However, it'll truly help with your anxiety :)

Trazadone will probably make you a bit dizzy, also give you a dry mouth, but will certainly do it's job and make you sleepy!

Good luck :)

I don't think it's fair to say it will slightly upset ones stomach when he said he's waking up sick to his stomach, nor do I think it's smart to say it will truly help his anxiety.

We can't tell you what side effects you'll (not) have, but I would expect it to feel like your balls have been removed, I know my sexuality took a change from SSRI's.

Trazodone is more likely to help your anxiety than Paxil. The histamine and adrenergic activity should make you drowsy.

when i took paxil, i noticed dry mouth and upset stomach in the mornings as well..it did seem to help with anxiety but a major drawback was i was tired ALL the time..i wanted to just sleep the days away..i would wake up in the morning, eat breakfast, then want to go back to bed..i was always wanting to nap..this problem along with the sexual problems lead me to get off it..

Yep, you're right. Your argumentative attitude isn't.

OP- contact your physician or pharmacist.
