Hello Bluelight, im asking for a little help on this one, I've been on and off SSRI's for almost 3 years for anxiety and depression. They have always made my muscles twitch whether im on or off of them, is this permanent? Or when i get off of them will it go away eventually? About a year ago i started the habit of clenching my jaw while i was on paxil. Eventually i got off paxil (complete hell by the way) but still was jaw clenching. since then ive gotten on 20mg celexa still clenching my jaw and im afraid im grinding the enamel off my teeth. My question is do you think my jaw clenching is caused by SSRI's (short term also long term, am i gonna have this forever?) or is it a part of my anxiety disorder? Since i can remember Ive always had random little habits like counting in increments of 5, clearing my throat and jaw clenching. Im kinda leaning toward anxiety disorder, but in any case what can i do about it?

i've been on Fluoxetine aka Prozac (20mg) for about a year now and yes, i was also clenching my jaw constantly and grinding my teeth unconsciously during the day and while sleeping. i think for me it came like a week after starting treatment and it lasted like three weeks maybe four. it eventually went away... :)

also i had "yawning attacks" in which i would yawn like five times in a row without warning lol. but yeah... it'll go away eventually

hah, thats crazy about the yawning, but i was off of paxil for a while, like 6 months and still was clenching. im not sure if i do it in my sleep or not but during the day i can clench once and hour or like once a minute or less...probably depending on my current anxiety level, the only thing is that im also on 10mg diazepam daily and it takes my anxiety away almost 100% (or noticeable anxiety)

Magnesium supplements tend to help a lot with the jaw clenching, recommend you get hold of some, usually available at pharmacies or health shops.

Thanks, is it magnesium that can also aid with tolerance? Or am I thinking of something else? Because i also take kratom and have a mild tolerance.

Magnesium can help with opis tolerance too yeah, grab hold of some DXM too if you got easy access to it.
