I just started playing this game, and I am hopelessly, irrevocably addicted to it. I was a tennis player growing up, but getting a court is F-ing impossible, and honestly, I don't know anyone who is as good as I am to play with. Squash, on the other hand, is just dynamite. The amount of strategy involved, the physical fitness aspect, and the fact that you don't need to be an allstar player to have a lot of fun playing has really, really turned me on to the game. It's an unbelievable cardio workout, and it's actually a ton of fun.

The rules are kind of complicated if you REALLY enforce them (like, rules about blocking shots and getting into people's way and stuff), but it's pretty easy to play it at a friendly level.

I have yet to play against a REALLY good player, and would love to get some tips about things that beginners tend to do wrong. So far, I generally try to control the centre of the court while making my opponent run around as much as possible before I go in for the kill. Any other squash players around?
