do you perform* spoken word?

i havent, but if i did/do i would sure share it !
;-)

so might you grace us with some of your Gab or Jive, your Gift of Tongue?
if you go and be faking jacks, this my little thieving friend is plagiarism in real life, and you will be dragged through mud in all lives. ..
so for your names sake be original

i had started recording myself reading a few weeks ago - messing around wanting to later record and post. my hard-drive was clicking though, through out the entire recording, i felt pretty silly after 35 minutes of stopping and starting over again - then hearing that :)
sooo ima need to record externally i suppose, i will probably just use some monitor speakers, or some headphones(AKG K141 sound nice actually) to record with and avoid the clicking - if it did happen again.

of course i will post something, or several things i hope. do you really think i care if you all try and laugh at me??
LOL

i imagine that anyone who is actually good, talented, or practiced that does this sort of thing often - would only have tips for us trying, and would have probably sucked at one point themselves, or, maybe isnt as good as you are when they first started, on their first try in a public venue! haha -
someone who does decide to talk shit, criticize harshly, be a clown/ass hat, these type' usually dont try and post up anything - so who cares what they have to say, let it be entertaining as-well.

... the point is to have fun, and break some boundaries or ice that could actually trickle into any of our day-to-day lives - as far as speaking in public, being more personable etc...seems so, i could think of other relative personal benefits - this is a great way to get inspired from an un-ordinary source, build more a voice, allow deeper opinions or thoughts to flow, and be very good for anyone in a 'writing block', perhaps, to get some cracks in as-well ...

=D

I would jump in feet first but I have zero idea of how to post an audio file. I can't wait to hear yours, though (and how you get it to work.)

Panic, thats helarious that I happened to find you here.
I am a spoken word-ist as well as a writer who is pretty well-known in the toronto region (we have a lot of bars and theatres for poetry performing). Its a realy good city for aspiring performers of this genre.
if anyone wants to private msg me about writing, I have alot of friends I do exchanges and critiques with and its really beneficial.
As well as if anyone is eager to see what I've got to offer, I'll gladly post something when I get back from class today. Its awesome they have a section like this in the forum.
