spiderweb feelings

This past weekend I tripped mescaline from san pedro cactus powder. It was the first time I ever tripped.

In the days after the trip, every time I smoked I felt the trip come back a little. This has happened less with each passing day.

One thing that's happened recently when I smoke is it feels like I'm walking through spiderwebs. When it first happened I was sure I was walking through webs but then I realized I was outside on a road with no webs in sight. Also, even when I'm not high, sometimes it feels like there is a hair or something on my face or somewhere when nothing is there at all.

This isn't bothersome. I don't mind it, I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or they know any meaning behind it?

interesting. i sometimes get that kind of feeling *while* i am tripping, but it is usually justified when i discover that yes there was a hair on my face. how often does this sensation happen to you now? once a day or more?

Sounds like a form of paraesthesia, seems like a normal possible part of sensory hallucination.

Research (look up the 'God helmet') has shown that stimulation of the temporal lobes can produce effects like feeling god or a presence and these effects all remind me a whole lot of what I have experienced myself on DMT. I have heard about other people experiencing very similar things. One of the things I have felt on DMT was the apparent presence of beings enveloping that gently caressed my skin as they moved and swirled around me. I did not see them but rather sense them, and the skin sensations coincided perfectly but what I saw with my mind's eye.

It felt like tingling, sometimes also a little like pins and needles i.e. classic paraesthesia. Another typical compound to produce this feeling is Salvia. It is easily conceivable that other psychedelic compounds with effects on proprioception (kinesthetic body sensation) can do similar things.

I've had the spidey silk feelings. It's definitely not paraesthesia. It feels like very light hairs or strands of silk gently brushing across your face or arms.

It's more probably actual spider webs. I have walked in to spider silk in odd locations many times. You get a lot of webs floating in mid-air during the summer; baby spiders release silk lines to parachute to other locations, air currents carry them up to their destination. Spiders fly in to the jet stream by the same method, it's a very normal thing. Spiders spin webs between trees, and presumably houses, in the normal manner. It wouldn't be uncommon to be walking in to spider silk outside.
