Speedy LSD?

Recently I took 5 tabs of what I was assured were high quality tabs of LSD. After 6 or so hours my jaw was in fairly intense pain from clenching as if I was on a lot of Molly or something.

I had heard of speedy LSD before but not to the point of serious bruxism. I'm inclined to think that, other than my jaw, it felt like I imagine LSD to be (I did 5 tabs my first time because I like heavy doses), vivid, sparkling everything looked like gistening candy. I was feeling sweet and peaceful.

I've done 25i-nbome and it definitely wasn't that. I was wondering if it was just a lot of the "speedy LSD" I've heard of, or if it could be something else like DOC.

5 tabs of high quality LSD is a very large dosage, considering they are actually high quality. I've had LSD that has floored me at 0.5 tab, stronger than 2 hits of good acid going around these days. The guy who was laying it, supposedly, was an amateur, and messed up and put way too much liquid on when he was laying it. That stuff was stupid strong, though, more of "too strong" than "high quality." I would consider a moderate-large dose of "high quality" tabs to be 3 hits.

Anyways, a high dose of LSD can definitely cause intense bruxism, as LSD works heavily on all the Dopamine and Norepinephrine receptors, as well as almost all the 5-HT receptors. A high dose of LSD can be extremely stimulating, which can be physically uncomfortable sometimes. You should go off of duration and time of onset to make sure it is indeed LSD, but LSD is usually unmistakably unique in its clean and natural feel.

LSD is stimulating. When i'm taking it often or in high dosages my jaw always hurts and clenches. Iv'e have clenching well past the trip itself.

^ The onset of effects and the time of peak will make this clear. Why do you say DOI? LSD can be quite stimulating at very high dosages. Keep in mind that most LSD circulating the US is of low potency.

I imagine 5 doses of DOI would not only cause severe bruxism as side effects. The consensus might be that the degree of LSD's stimulation can vary from trip to trip and is likely more pronounced in higher dosages. The only way to distinguish for a first timer could be the timeline of effects but nothing definite can be said without lab analysis of the blotters.

OP you should seriously think about performing low dose tests before ingesting high amounts of a drug that is not subject to quality control (ie. about every black market drug). It indeed happens that blotters are misrepresented as LSD but contain a substance which is a lot easier to overdose on (smaller ratio of dosages that produce serious side effects to normal effects). Perhaps the person you buy them off is otherwise trustworthy but isn't even aware of the misrepresentation her-/himself.
Be careful :)

I took 5 hits because I asked the kid how many he took regularly and he said if he wanted to trip NUTS he took 3-4. I decided to just eat the whole half strip that I bought.

As for duration: 2 hours ish until peak (perhaps less) and 6 hours of peak. It was probably 10-12 hours before I was down. sounds like acid.

Yeah, sounds exactly like acid. Did you get the first alerts in under or about an hour (had to take a shit, something feels a little off, etc.)? DOX compounds usually take a couple hours for the first alert to appear. The peak, duration of main effects, and duration of entire trip sounds spot on to acid.

You basically got some regular high quality acid, and had an intense trip by taking a lot of it. I usually stick to 1-2 hits, 3 if I want to get sent to the moon, with high quality acid.

My first trip on lsd left me with extreme jaw pain at the 5-6 hour mark. The next few trips I felt it less and less, now I never feel it. I've come to the conclusion that MY jaw tension/clenching was caused by the slight anxiety I would get from lsd. The more I tripped, the les anxiety I would feel, due to becoming familiar with the lsd effects. Being anxious always makes me clench my jaw. When first riding my motorcycle I would notice my jaw would always be so tightly closed. Now that i've been riding for sometime, this doesn't happen.

LSD is very catabolic at those doses. I would make sure you're getting enough electrolytes, and especially magnesium in your diet in the leadup. Jaw clenching is very related to a deficiency of the minerals needed to regulate the nervous system: calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, sodium, potassium.
