But not making it immediate release! Do you think if I broke a an 80mg oc in to four pieces, and took two 1/4 pieces, it would dose and peak of 4 hours or so rather than 8-12?
What I am saing is, can breaking OC's into chunks rather than powder shorten the time length it is released over?

I'm not sure of this, but I don't think it would work. The time release matrix is set for 8-12 hours I think, so in theory, by cutting an 80 into 4 20's, you would be giving yourself 20mg's over the time released 8-12 hours. The point of crushing the entire pill is to break the time release, and if you don't break that time release matrix, I would think that administration of the oxy would be spread over the total 8-12 hour period. Unless the cutting into chunks has a drastic effect on the time release mechanism, it doesn't seem like it would work.
I'm not an expert on time release mechanisms so I'm sure some people out there can offer some better information backed up by more than my theorizing.

If your looking to defeat the time release mechanism, perhaps you should crush your pill, then put the powder into four capsules?

Um, no, it doesnt work like that... to brak thetime-release mechanisim you have to totally crush the pill to DUST .. cutting into 1/4's womt haveuit hit you 4 times as fast...
BTW, an old rukle I am bringing back - no OC threads.. there are so, so, so, so very many in he archives and in this forum...
