How much are you taking? My current rate is 10-15g a day, and is steadily climbing. Past history of opiate addiction with ~1 year recovery time from an average of 300mg daily CWE'd hydrocodone, and unfortunately Kratom spoiled that. Hydro was cheaper in bulk, why not?
What kind of kratom? Regular Bali
Leaf or extract? Leaf
What type of leaf? Powdered "Ultra Premium" Leaf
For how long? 6 months overall, 3 months of daily use.
How many times a day and what dosage? 5-8g 2x a day via tea (w/o straining leaf) or a lazier toss and wash.
How long did withdrawal last for you? I've yet to ride it out all the way to determine that figure. But, when going without any opioids/kratom for 3 days last month or so, I was hit with moderate withdrawals. Much more than expected.
Each dose holds me off for 8-10h depending on absorbtion rates.
Day 1: Runny eyes/nose, mild sweating, restlessness/anxiety, heightened drug craving, insomnia, RLS, lack of motivation, small ache in body past t+20h. 12 hours after my last dose is when the fun truly starts.
Day 2: Hot/cold flashes, nausea, physical pain+weakness, zero focus or drive to do things, exacerbated sleep paralysis, cognitive deficits, noticeable tremor, increased HR/BP/respiratory rate of course, and at this point feelings of anxiety and depression are ever so intense.
Day 3: Intensity peaked to a 5/10 in the 'opiate withdrawal scale' before my mail arrived, not too shabby. - 1/10 IMO would be stopping after a week of 15-30mg/day oral hydrocodone in divided doses, while a 10/10 could be compared to a user's experience stopping cold turkey after more than a year of opiate dependency, with current daily doses equivalent to more than 200mg IV morphine, or 750mg oral oxycodone. Call me crazy, but I've met a few fentanyl junkies who reach or exceed these marks all the time. I'm sure plenty of others in the game have as well.
I'm still very much dependent on Kratom, but would rather cling tight to simple Kratom leaf instead of picking up where I left off...physically addicted to Lyrica/benzos/booze, opioids, amphetamines (heavy psychological dependency), synthetic cannabinoids, and of course cigarettes. Not again, oh please.
