Technology Space Launches - happening more all the time

Looks like Starliner is coming home (unmanned) after a long delay in orbit.

Fingers crossed 👍

It is unmanned. Funny story, after America retired it's space shuttles after the other space shuttle whose name started with the letter C fell apart during reentry.

Not sure why( years and years ago) they sanctioned Putin's Russia. But I bet it was justified.

A Russian official said , that they would honor their agreement and then after it, no more Soyuz trips for American astronauts.

When asked about how Americans will get there now.
Then he suggested that America should,
begin work on a giant catapult.

Basically they can go FUCK themselves.

I love my country. God bless this country; oh that right look at it now.
Anyways, funny is funny, lol

Starliner was sent up manned but the astronauts that went up with it are remaining on ISS because this craft was not deemed safe enough to have them return in it. Are you even keeping up on this or what? Boeing is only one of three American companies vying for the chance to make spacecraft for the US effort. The industry is evolving from a purely governmental agency controlled who makes and flies in space and there is bound to be some degree of experimentation and mistakes. The Boeing craft has more than it's share of problems but they are trying to make progress without loss of human life.

I sincerely don't understand your need to swear in posts like this, I'm sure you can express yourself without telling people to fuck off. Try to think before you post, this is not the first time folks have made that simple request. This is not the lounge.

If they want to prevent loss of Life, don't use Boeing. I don't watch television or read the papers. Waste of money.

However I am very aware( serious well made documentaries on the Columbia and Challenger disasters). Of the work atmosphere and safety issues with NASA and Boeing.

That's the funny thing about greed and rushing the safety issues.( I bet you know what I mean; deadlines and people more concerned with their career ambitions)(NASA, get it done by such and such date. Boeing rush safety issues and greed).

The funny part is Boeing should be making more money.
NASA, could have prevented those 2 disasters. But no they choose to be reckless, and have safety take a backseat to deadlines.

Boeing has had a bunch of issues with passengers Jets. The 737-8 comes to mind.

Sorry, I used the F word. But what I said was the best way to express it. Besides, I am the only one on here who ever get chewed out about things everyone else does and I get into trouble.

Did you read the post. I was saying that basically The Russian told America to...

Actions speak louder than words. But me being a outspoken protestant, I guess you don't like me very much.

I have an Ancestors that fled Ireland, because of the Catholics throwing rocks at him and other forms of oppression. Lol.

Which Biblical prophet had a foul mouth, Isaiah ? Bad memory, sometimes.

But, I am sorry, but I used it in a context where I was just saying, what he meant. He would agree.

You are right, and when I say stuff I mean it, unless I am joking. I am not, and I sincerely apologize. I just didn't know that a person or persons in this place after years or decades of illegal drug use and other criminal activity, would be offended.

I am sorry, I forgot I am held to a different standard here than the other members.

But, I am used to people treating me differently, I get yelled at for editing a post, using(ellipses). Being long winded, referring to myself as a mick.

And pissed and messed tried to have me banned for referencing the fall of the Berlin Wall. I wish I had been keeping track.

Even if you hate me, I don't hate you.
I respect you. Love the train videos, wonder what will happen to that dastardly evil doer who caused that train derailment?

Everybody here hates me, almost all, and people look for ways to get me in trouble, but I am thick skinned and use to it.

alasdairm: likes to pick on me, but even he didn't go after me. He found something else.

I wasn't saying that to anyone only saying basically what an enemy countries official was implying.

I will watch my mouth. I get offended by certain words, but I should watch my mouth, and realize life is not fair, and accept that many who don't like my beliefs or political views are going, to find fault, with me and complain about me. With anyone else, they wouldn't care.😞

No one is trying to oppress you and you are the only one bringing religion into a tech "discussion". Have a nice day.

hey jnowhere,

s&t is traditionally a pretty low-drama forum.

when somebody challenges or disagrees with something we say here it's not a personal attack. we should embrace the engagement and discussion.

can we please keep the off-topic stuff out of threads and try to discuss issues civilly?

thank you.

Has Boeing adequately fixed the issues with management? Such as rushing to put out new products before they are safe. Aka 737-8, 787 Dreamliner?
Probably not, they have a systemic corporate problem. They used to be a aeronautic engineering firm run by engineers but have lost that "corporate mission" some time ago.

This current launch is by Blue Origin not Boeing, and is sub orbital. About 15 minutes of total flight time for crew.

Opps, I read it wrong and thought it was a Boeing product. Well it is good to know it isn't.
I had been watching, Mayday Air Disasters and seen older documentaries about issues at Boeing.
Sorry, but thanks for the info.

I am not being paranoid or trying to be funny. Do you think that all this space travel and projects are actually a cover for military programs?

What ever happened to the Strategic Defense Initiative, aka Star Wars missle defense system?
