Ok folks let me start off by saying a few days ago I was a happy healthy ordinary teenager and then one of my friends gave me a drug called Prozac.. I did some research and then decided to crack a pill open and snort it.. after that I took 4 more and smoked some cannabis.. and now 2 days later I cant get any pleasure from anything.. I feel so depressed and im wondering if this is going to go away or am I stuck with it for life

Your not going to be stuck this way. Chill out and don't get high for a day or two. You'll be right as rain. Prozac is an Ssri one time use will not really do anything.

prozac isn't gonna do anything i GUARANTEE it is out of your system completely by now, the half-life isn't that long/
If it's only been a few days don't just jump to rash conclusions that it will never go back to the way things were.
If this persists, you MAY be clinically depressed, depression can be caused by many things but before you start freaking out about depression try and make sure you're not just having a bad week.

You should go research how to research cuz you clearly need help in that regard

Yes as others have said, DO BETTER RESEARCH. Snorting prozac? How the FUCK did you find someone telling you to do that?
ANY anti depressant is unabusable. Period. There is no point in trying to get high off them. Use this for future reference.

Just stick to smoking weed dude.

You might just have used up a bit of brain chemicals at once, although most likely not. I wouldn't worry about it… It's the worrying that might be freaking you out… triggering a response to what you did is all. Our mind is powerful and can assume more than we know at times... which triggers anxiety/depression.

I was on Prozac before, there's no euphoria… It's an older SSRI. Just give it another day.

Prozac isnt a narcotic. U CAN get high off of prozac but olny if your taking far too much. Doing. Taking an anti depressants for a long period of time and then suddenly going off them can cause depression but that cant happen from doing it one time. Do not snort it and stop trying to get high off of it youll get nowhere its not something that gets u high unless your on the edge of an overdose

You'll be alright. However I would recommend some lifestyle changes, if you're going to snort any random pill you get without even a google search before hand. Just trying to help, and prevent something worse happening down the line because of similar behavior.

Don't worry you will be fine! It's probably just a psychosomatic thing, like others have said wait a few days, eat healthy do some exercise etc and you will have forgotten all about it.

Ignore the people saying go away and research, whilst it's always nice if people try and work things out before making a thread so the same things don't get asked over and over you are in exactly the right place to ask questions if you don't understand! If you don't understand again, don't think twice about asking here if you're not sure what is correct.

Good luck and let us know how you are!

Sorry you are feeling this way.

The first two weeks starting a SSRI are not a pleasant experience for many people.. there is a change that needs to happen in the brain to produce the desired effects.

prozac takes awhile to be eliminated from your system. When this has happened you should be back to good.

The relatively slow elimination of fluoxetine (elimination half-life of 1 to 3 days after acute administration and 4 to 6 days after chronic administration) and its active metabolite, norfluoxetine (elimination half-life of 4 to 16 days after acute and chronic administration),

Six times a half life will give you how long it will take to be eliminated from your body. So you should find full relief somewhere between day 6 to day 36. Im betting it will will be much more likely to be around day six.

If you are not completely better in 30 days then I would see a MD about this.

This, and maybe the fact that anti depressants may cause depressant thoughts as a side effect. But you would have to take them for a while I guess. This is mostly you being anxious about it.
