some suboxone questions

ok, so I just got one 8mg suboxone, that I cut into quarters and plan on doing 2mg a day. I think that should be enough to keep me off sick. normally I IV about 12-15 30mg morphine's a day. doing about 120mg at a time. do you think I would be ok with 2mg a day?

my next question is how long after my last shot of morphine should I wait for dosing the suboxone?

I also need to know the bioavailability of IV suboxone(I'd actually like to know all routes BA), as I already know you can shoot it and not get sick from the naloxone. I want to know this so I can get the most out of each dose. I'm hearing sublingual is at like 50%, so pretty much I'd only be getting 1mg and that doesn't sound all that good to me.

and, if I IV it, how long after that shot can I take an opiate such as oxycodone or morphine?
 
ok, I found the answer on the bioavailability(sublingual is actually around 30% and IV is in the 90's) and how long after last shot of bupe I can do a real opiate (36 hours, damn).

but I still need to know if 2mg IVd would be enough to hold me. and how long after my last shot of morphine I can shoot the suboxone.
 
how long ago did u do the morph? and im 70% sure 2mg would be okay, if not then maybe more.. your opiate addiction doesnt seem as bad as some people i know (banging 320mg of OC a day)

id wait 2-2 1/2 hours after morphin then hit up the suboxen

im on the other end of the drug spectrum so i dont provide too much help when it comes to opiates
 
oh, well I know it has to be longer than 2.5 hours after my last morphine dosage. I'd still be feeling the morphine then.

and I've still got a few days worth of morphine left, so its not like I'm freaking out needing answers right away. I just thought I'd post it up, and get a few days worth of replies, that way I wouldn't just be doing this blindly or being super sick waiting for answers.
 
you can take the sub as soon as you feel withdrawals, the longer you wait the better, for me I like to wait at least 12 hours when dealing with morphine, be it heroin, poppy tea, or just morphine pills.

if you only have an 8mg pill I'd take around 2mgs at first, maybe less, you can always take more if you need it. I always found that my first dose of sub when switching would end up being around 4mg ideally, that much makes me fairly comfortable. after that you can take a little less each time. a little goes a long way with sub. if you're just trying to stay out of wd until you can get more morphine I'd take as little as possible to feel well, because the more it builds up in your system the harder it is to get high.

you can take morphine ten minutes after your last sub dose if you want to, but it won't work as well, wait about twenty four hours or until you feel withdrawals. it's all relative of course, if you were on sub for a month it'd take at least a few days for you to get a decent high off any opiate.... this is just my experience.

I found going back and forth from sub to morphine to be exhausting and it made me feel out of whack. I think your body appreciates just staying on one or the other.
 
I don't plan on doing this all the time, I really only plan on doing this this one time to keep me off sick until I can get ahold of some new meds. supposed to have some methadone and roxis coming my way in a few days.
 
with subs unless your on methadone just wait as long as you can until you get dizzy or start ....you get the drift....then dose...

I just read this....You're no offense, a very dumb individual if you abuse Methadone, if you're not abusing, sorry, sounds like you're NOT in MMT or have a legit script from the way you're typing. At LEAST save the methadone for last if you do the 2mg sub for one day and plan to get high the nexxt day. Just don't take the methadone until 3 days later....you could take too much and not know.
 
excuse me? does it say anything in there about me abusing methadone? how did you even come to that conclusion? especially when I'm saying I"m only doing 2mg of bupe at a time?

no, I do not abuse methadone or suboxone. I do, however, abuse my morphine script, but at the same time I use it for pain relief as I have leukemia, and a bad knee after a real bad car accident last summer. I'm taking the methadone and suboxone to get me through a few days where I will not have my morphine. because without my medicine, not only am I sick, but I'm also in terrible pain from the cancer/chemotherapy.
 
did he sttttutterrr?, FOFS, I take care of terminally ill cancer patients no one comes around a few times a day with a rig. That's gotta be tough needing end of days iv morph, bastards should have given you the pump in that case. There's plenty of info around on the potential to inhale powder into the lungs. The whinning is just unbearable.

and I probably wouldn't be shooting my morphine if I wasn't a heroin addict and stuff before finding out I have AML.
