Hello
I've been wondering about the activity of a couple of structural aMT isomers. They are probably better seen as amphetamines.
The first one is a structural isomer of aMT
1-(1H-indol-5-yl)propan-2-amine
This is the only compound out of these i think has been made and assayed, it's wikipedia article is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/5-(2-Aminopropyl)indole
The second one is a structural isomer of aMT too, it's the same as the one above, but with the nitrogen at the 6 position.
1-(1H-indol-6-yl)propan-2-amine
The third is like MDA, but with the oxygens substituted with nitrogens,
1-(2,3-dihydro-1H-benzimidazol-5-yl)propan-2-amine
The last one is much simpler, and i think we should look at aMT first
Now if we look at it as an amphetamine analogue, we'll see that it has a pyrrole instead of an benzene, and then the benzene ring as a substitution. I'm thinking what would happen if then benzene ring wasn't there, could we have another simple amphetamine like drug.
It's name would be
1-(1H-pyrrol-3-yl)propan-2-amine
Now what kind of activity would these drugs have?
I'm thinking number one would be a relatively selective serotonin releaser, just like 5-APB.
Number 2 would maybe be more like MDA, eg. being a releaser of serotonin, dopamine, and noradrenaline, in somewhat equal ammounts.
Number 3 i don't know enough to predict the activity, but maybe it would be an mdma like drug.
number 4 i don't know enough to predict the activity either, maybe it would be an amphetamine like drug.
I would like very much to hear your thoughts about these drugs, and if you have any info about them please share, especially number 1 seem to have been made and assayed, but i can't find much about it.
Also what do you think the difference between the saturated and unsaturated versions of them.
Hope we will get smarter from this
