Some alcohol questions

ok, now I'm not a big drinker, I don't mind drinking for a bit of relaxation, but getting drunk is a waste of time and parties with alcohol are fucking boring.
HOWEVER! Being the tightarse I am, when given the opportunity to organise the drinks for a 'supplied' party I see the chance to make some money.
Now, my plan is to get some very high potency alcohol like vodka essence or something, and dilute it with enough water such that it is slightly less alcoholic than vodka etc.
Is this possible, are there any tips, advice or suggestions anyone has to make?

Adding water to straight vodka makes it taste wrong.
My advice? Sell mixed drinks, redbull+vodka, etc. - if you don't know someone who's good at drink mixing, there's a billion and one recipies on the web, and I don't see any government officials whining about how it enourages clubbers to get drunk. Definately a double standard....

Ok people do do this includeing many a shitty resturaunt/bar. They'll either dilute the vodka or fill empty highquality vodka bottles with crappy vodka thinking hell no one will know. However if you drink vodka and have ever sat down and tried all the different ones you can very easily experience teh difference or at least I can but it depends if its to some normal people that dont enjoy high quality booze or are already trashed they probably wont notice.

I want to get something with a fuckin high alcohol content like vodka ESSENCE (which I've only heard of, never seen), something maybe as high as 90% if possible, but without any poisons in it like metholated spirits)
So I then want to water it the fuck down so it is the equivilent to less than that of vodka.

Everclear -- as strong of alcohol as you can buy. It even has a warning on the bottle that says "keep away from open flames" or something.

if youre gettin everclear, or golden grain, or one of the similar high potency alcohols, there isnt any need to mix it with water..i mean, just mix their drinks with a smaller amt of it than you would normally mix a drink with...if you tell em whats in it, they'll understand why.

actually many of the bars in new orleans' bourbon streets advertised drinks use one of these for the alcohol. youre not really cheating or misrepresenting this way, just using differnt ingredients than ppl are used to. you could also think about just mixing up a large batch of some sort of punch, making up a cutesy name, and promoting it as the "special" and its very likely most ppl will just get that..especially the females

I always thought vodka was all about the same % (around 40 I think). If you're gonna do that though, don't sell the vodka straight, it will taste like ass. My suggestion would be to make a giant barrel of something (Jungle Juice would be good) and just add a bunch of water to it if you want to make more money. Fuck buying special vodka, just add water to the large concoction. Selling vodka w/ added water would just be...gross, and I doubt it'd be worth your while as far as money goes, but it'd prolly work.

Ahh excellent, yeah that was the plan. I was gonna make a 'magic punch' with cordial, water and high concentrate alcohol. Everclear will do nicely, is it expensive?
as for vodka, it was going to be vodka ESSENCE (supposedly a fuckload stronger than vodka essence, some guy over here drank 10ml and died)
