Just got my hands on some Pain-O-Soma.
%)
I love diazepam, temazepam and GHB. I've always been interested in old-school sedatives and I've been wanting to try carisoprodol for a while because it's a pro-drug to meprobamate.
I took 700mg on an empty stomach earlier while I was waiting for my dinner. It started to work after about 15 minutes. Once the effects became noticeable, it kicked in VERY quickly. About an hour later I took another 700mg and drank a can of beer. This had me SLOPPY fucked up for a good 2 hours.
As I expected, Soma is a powerful muscle relaxant. It's quite a bit stronger than diazepam in that respect.
It seems to have some analgesic properties as well... I can see why people often combine it with opioids.
It gives me the munchies just like every other sedative I've tried.
Overall the high feels remarkably similar to GHB; except it lasts longer, it's more sedating and it's a much stronger muscle relaxant (it's the strongest muscle-relaxing sedative I've ever taken).
The numbness is quite unique - not too dissimilar to alcohol but at the same time a LOT more pleasant/clean. It's what I always imagined a short-acting barbiturate like Seconal would feel like (never tried barbs).
IMO Soma is a highly underrated drug.
