I used to know a recipe for extracting codeine for almost 100 percent yield. It pretty much follows a cw, only you substitute a certain solvent for water, plus one more step which involves crushing the tablets and adding sodium bicarbonate. This was ten years ago, and I can't remember the name of the solvent and its pissing me off. I've got co codamol, baking soda, coffee filters, but no solvent. I had a windfall here actually; I recently found a bag somebody had thrown away containing 160 co cocodamol pills, and these have 30mgs of codeine per tablet.

I know this is really vague, but if anyone has ever followed a solvent formula that was popular on the net from around 2002-2003 and can remember the solvent, it would really help me and id post the formula. It's not chloroform, and it begins with an M, that's all I can remember.
