someone was telling me how in the 80s or 70s, this sodium penthicial(obviously spelled by me) is known as the "shit" it used to be the Ecstasy that "they" took and it was great, this and that.... anyone know any more detailed info about this?

I thought that the chemical that you mentioned was used as 'truth serum' when interogating people back in the day. If this is indeed the same stuff I would imagine a kind of E'tard state where you could unintentionally blab about all kinds of embarissing shit like jacking off into tube socks and the like.
 
Sodium pentothal is a barbituate that is highly euphoric and moderately disinhibiting; it is also used for euthanizing humans and animals. It has been dubbed "truth serum" by many, but from my experience it simply knocks you out. It is like mdma in the way ghb is "liquid ecstasy", which is a pretty stupid name to begin with. What was your point in posting this?

i have no idea what IT is, but i was just intrigued by the way he discribed it. he said it has no after effects, you feel great and totally sober. makes the sex great. and it would last for 8 to 12 hours. you feel everyone is your best buddy... blah blah blah.
i guess he was mixing some BS with facts. or he took some mdma mixed with that stuff.. who knows. since he doesn't know what i actually do and know, i won't confront/discuss it again with him.
thanks guys for clearing this up.. but it does still intrigue me, since it is "highly euphoric"
 
might have been talking about DOM? er, maybe its DOB... DO something. look those up on erowid.

not if it lasts 8-12 hours, it wouldn't.
note to world at large: trying to recreate drug experiences from second hand information 20 years later is fucking impossible, and generally not even worth the effort to reply with random guesses.
