I happened to notice, while doing some research on THC, that THC is completely soluble in Ethanol. I'm assuming this is because THC is a lipid. Anyways, I sort of got curios and I started to wonder if you could soak a bud in a high proof alcoholic drink and have the THC dissolve into the drink and get high off of the THC.
Lipids are soluble in other lipids (which is why you can make cannabutter) so I was thinking that this would probably work given the fact that it is being absorbed by the Ethanol.
However, now that I think about it, a lot of the THC is burned off when you smoke marijuana, and some of the THC is also burned off when you cook an eatable - so in theory - this THC shot might be really potent considering none of the THC is being burned off. Correct?
Also, how likely is this to work? I'd be intersted in trying it using something like Everclear - but I don't want to waste a bud unless I'm sure it will work.
