Japa dog!! Hey Pretty D we have this japadog in Vancouver too but I think there are some franchises in States as well where you can choose different types and flavors derived from Japanese cuisine :D

Maya,
I know you're very passionate about this.. but I'm Japanese and that looks super weird! Blah. + expensive. Like I said, we already have the connects to good corn. Easy to prepare, make... Fuckin' corn man. IS THAT NOT GENIUS?!?!
Done, but remember that there is also a Ms. mod. Poor kytnism might be a little offended. Maybe StarOceanHouse, too. I still have no idea what his/her gender actually is.
kytnism is a tough cookie. I'm sure staroceanhouse is too.

Originally, I had Mr. Frank but didn't want to offend the other mods so changed it to "Mr. mod". ;D

Definitely the cheese steak.

Which reminds me, down here it seems like a lot of places are making brisket cheese steaks, which is basically just a cheese steak with brisket. Holy fuck those are good. It's 3 in the morning and I want one.

In thailand street vendors sell grilled, salted corn, much like those posted. They are really delicious! Whether I would buy one after pubbing or not, I am not sure... I generally don't eat when drunk..

^I have seen a street vendor at Darling Harbour selling fresh cooked corn cobs.

It was during the day and it was out of a trailer or a campervan... my friend got a cob, I didn't :)

I'm going to some work event on Wednesday and we get free corn. I thought of this thread for some reason :P I think this corn place is one of our sponsors.
I've started to like corn more these days, I used to hate it, but it is pretty good! I usually eat it plain or with just a tiny bit of butter. I think corn could get going as a street food more, not always for drunk people, but just normally!

Convince me to move there, brah.

Note: I like craft-beer related jobs.

The day-time temperature falls below freezing but for several days per year (and then, only just below freezing). During the summer, the highs range from 75-85 most of the time. You literally live in a temperate rainforest, as will be apparent with any hiking in or nearby the city. Bike lanes are opulent, and drivers aren't trying to kill you.

On our food carts (note: this announcer annoys me to no end, but probably for no reason):

Now, Korea wins out in terms of being able to roll out of a bar drunk at 3 am and acquire seafood tempura and egg-seafood pancakes. Portland wins in terms of variety and...remotely vegetarian friendly offerings.
