Here goes, i've got an opiate habit, like half the damn people i've come across here.
So i'm sure they can be the first to help me out, because things seem a bit abnormal.

I can do anywhere from 80mg-160mg oxy a day. 80mg will keep w/d's off all day if i snort pieces throughout the day. i've been using for about 6 months with the dose gradually increasing from 20mg a day, to where its been now.

Now i've read up on withdrawal quite a bit, but something seems abnormal for me.

I last took 10mg hydro 5 hours ago, and my withdrawal has already started. What i'm trying to say is, when i take opiates, almost as soon as the effects wear off, i begin to withdraw.

But its not the typical withdrawal right now, all i am getting is body pain, no tears in eyes, no shits, a small bit of stomach pain, and no throwing up.

I was wondering, is this normal to begin having pain right after your dose wears off?

I've been wanting to quit for some time now, and now i'm trying to detox after that last dose.

any help on this would be great, sorry for shitty grammar etc... I feel like complete shit.

also, if anyone could post links to me on here for a good site to read about how to withdraw, besides just the typical bluelight megathreads, that would be wonderful.

i dont get it what do u expect to happen once the opiates wear off? i am only clean for 2 weeks off a 5 year heroin habit n i used to get sick literally about 2 or 3 hours after my last hit anyways if uve only bin using for 6 months quit while u r ahead your w/d might be intense but very short lived if u can just get some benzo's n clonodine i wouldnt even suggest suboxone unless u can get like 1 8mg pill and kick with that 6 months aint shit n ur paws will also be short lived good luck i hope someone else can be more helpful

I just always expected that you wouldn't withdraw until like 1 day after your last dose is what i'm saying. And i'm just wondering why i'd only get severe muscle cramps and whole body pain but no tears and shitting?

becasue u r starting to experience w/d full blown w/d dont hit till about the 24 hour mark it starts wit the stomach and gets worse n worse most ppl will say that the 3rd day is the hardest

it also depends on the half life of the opiate u r using the shorter the half life the faster the w/d come like methadone n suboxone if uve bin takin them for a while u will not feel the w/d from that for prob like 2 days atleast after u stop

If you only take 10 mg, the w/d will come sooner than if you took a full 80 mg dose.

I wouldn't recommend benzos. Benzos can be highly addictive, and even worse than opiates when it comes to withdrawal. Some benzos can cause you to be depressed, which won't help you get past your addiction at all.

i'm about 12 hours into withdraw... so my question would be. with my above stated habit, how long until the peak of W/D. 80-160mg oxy a day for 6 months

I think that around day 3 is when you start to notice an improvement in withdrawal symptoms, but it really does vary from person to person. Maybe you just got lucky this time.......the body aches are just awful, though, but really try to take ibuprofen and LOTS of hot showers and baths with bath salts for the aches. It helps a bunch, more than you would expect.

Ok. thank you all for answering my questions. Sorry i am asking so many. The next thing i was wondering is how come there are people who are sick for like 2 weeks? but you all say i should peak within 2-3 days?

It depends on the DOC, the duration of use and the individual metabolisms of each person.

6 months on OC is going to be a pretty quick withdrawal especially if you have a quick metabolism. But for someone who's been using an opiate with a long half-life like methadone, bupe, pods for say 5 years, the withdrawls are going to last a lot longer.

In your case, you should be feeling much better at the 5 day mark, and probably pretty close to normal within a week and a half. It sounds absolutely insane to say that I *like* the withdrawal off an opiate with a short half-life, so I shouldn't use that term. It's fucking horrible like any w/d, but at least it's over quickly.

Check the w/d threads (I think there's a sticky) for the full list of things you can do to w/d. Eat healthy, drink lots of water, and exercise as much as you possibly can to get your body producing its own endorphins as soon as possible. You wouldn't believe how much exercise helps to speed your kick.

It's a one time deal....

Don't give up, do it this time and you will never have to feel it again...with each relapse and detox the shit gets worse. Remember do this now and be strong and you won't have to do it again. Next time you can tell someone how it was for you, maybe you can help them. That will feel better then WD. This too shall pass.
