Hi, 25f here and I'm eager to help.
Been coming across this site a lot lately and thought it was so interesting. Hoping I can help out in answering questions. I have noticed people use SWIM a lot and have recently figured out the meaning behind it. I haven't been able to decipher whether people use this for their own comfort or because of the ToS (which I read, but kind of went brain numb half way through). So I suppose that's my first question. Is it necessary to use that acronym when discussing one's experience? Is it some sort of faux pas to not use it?

welcome. im 23 in ls angeles and glad you want to help. What experience do you have with what drugs may I ask? Here we do not use swim. It stands for Someone Who Isn't Me. Other sites use this so that you do not implicate yourself for lawful reasoning. There are many reasons behind this, but laws have changed, and you won't be prosecuted for helping people online or sharing your story. The biggest thing for me is that people fail to recognize themselves as the one doing it. Using SWIM to me is a scapegoat to not face the fact that you are in fact the one doing these things. If that makes sense? Long story short, we do not use it on this site.

Hey, nice to meet you and thanks for clarifying. In my teens, ecstasy was my drug of choice. A few years ago I got in a nasty spot where I was doing too much mdma and lsd. Currently, I am having beginning to have trouble with cocaine, meth and lorazepam. I have had a few isolated experiences with oxycodone, ketamine, salvia, crack and 251-NBOMe.
I have used mushrooms a handful of times, and I have smoked weed throughout all of this.
