So I fucked up

So anyways I made a pretty big mistake... being the addict I am, and or the fact of the shortage of my medication, Dexedrine, it also has not helped in the decision that I made.

This was walgreens first off I did it at... So I like to hunt a little early sometimes on finding this shit, so luckily I found a pharmacy that carried what I needed and the thing is, instead of 10mg, they had five... so I changed the script from 10mg to 5mg, and well they kinda can tell it may be altered so they are calling the office for verification...

well this happened yesterday on a friday and no one is in my doctors office till monday, so this gives me 2 days to act.

should I call my doctors office and tell him either A) about it in general or B)an eloborate story of somekind like that I gave it to a friend to hold onto (not really) and told him to bring it in for me when I tell you, as I cannot leave my grandfather home alone, (I am his careegiver). Then he tried altering it and then decided to tell me...

I can tell that story to the pharmacy and my doctor but seriously... is there something I can do legit that will hopefully get the police out of the situation? They aren't part of it yet but I mean if i talk to my doctor and even told him the truth can the cops ultimately be not part of this you guys think? I don't mind losing the medication or doctor, as I plan on going to a new dr from now anyways... my old doctor, who actually gave me enough for what I need.


Can i call walgreens and tell them not to fill it that I want that paper back? Can I tell them this was a mistake please I want no legal trouble but please shred it? Can I be honest...

please don't call me stupid or flame me for this, I know it was dumb, and I'm scared.

The elaborate friend story was serious but don't take that too seriously because that will get the thread closed... I'm looking for an honest way to get out of this... by being honest if I have to be.

Hopefully though, it shouldn't be that big of a deal - after all, it's not like you forged an entire script, you were still trying to get the same drug just in a different dosage. Not really sure what else I can advise you with though, if you can't get the script back from them, i'd recommend just talking to your doctor straight up.

I would be honest man...i mean in all reality you were trying to get LESS drugs than you are prescribed for, right? I think (and.obviously this is not legal advice) that if it came down to a criminal charge, you coukd get it dropped down or completely dropped. If it were me, id throw some kind of sob stry to the doctor, but all truth. Good luck man

Just so I understand correctly, this was a legit script but you altered the script to show a lower dosage than what your doc had actually prescribed because that was all the Wal Greens carried?

Whatever the case, I'd try contacting the pharmacy to get your script back and try to avoid bringing law enforcement into this.

I'm gonna have to lock this thread, BDD guidelines don't allow discussion of legal issues such as this. I'd advise just to be honest with your doctor, as I don't believe you've done anything particularly wrong, though of course the first thing you should have done was contacted him to see if he could arrange something with the pharmacy.
