So i bought some LSD last night...

So last night me and 2 of my friends each bought what was marketed as three hits of LSD. It came as a little cotton ball with a metallic taste that we let sit under our tongue (guy said there were three hits per cotton ball). I'd never taken acid before, but i had taken shrooms once before. I expected it to be pretty similar...but it wasnt....like at all...Instead, i spent the next 6 or 7 hours just very calm. It was almost like i was on some sort of benzo, not like i had imagined acid at all. The only time i really got the feeling of tripping was while watching the doors, and being totally immersed in sound and crazy images on the screen. Other than that, i probably just looked very very stoned to the outside observer.

So not having done acid before, and having a trip that was way less impressive than i expected, im beginning to think we were sold something other than LSD.

Anyone have input? Has anyone had cotton soaked in LSD? And does that experience seem, normal? Is acid really less intense than a bag of mushies?

You can have LSD in many forms, its a possibility that what you where sold was LSD. A few of my friends have had similar trips on low dosages. However, there is no way that anyone on this forum can say for any certainty what you had. We usually don't allow 'what did i take' threads.

Well, i guess im more or less looking for a "how does your first trip feel" type of response. Maybe compared to shrooms?

LSD is different for everybody, all psychedelics are.

The fact that you said it had a bitter taste, leads me to think it wasn't real LSD-25.

We can't possibly tell you though, we don't have those cotton balls nor do we know what it actually was. Sorry.

Low to medium dose LSD felt very calm to me as well. Tryptamines aren't calm, for comparison.

I don't know why, but many people have that weird belief (I also had it, before I tried LSD) that acid should be much harder than shrooms, like if it was "level above" shrooms/tryptamines. It isn't. I'd rather give LSD to a newfag than shrooms or anything.

I had that one hit on about ~150ug LSD and was on ++/+++ while being totally calm. It wasn't exactly the feeling of crystal thoughts you get on phens, but rather "calmness" that you DON'T get on tryptamines... either..
