snorting over the counter stuff: experience?

i like to snort pills plain and simple, i mean who doesn't right!? but last night i wanted to go to sleep kinda readily so i chopped up one of those sleeping pills that you can buy at any gas station or walgreens thinking it would do the trick. well it hurt like shit. it had the same feeling as snorting an ephedrine pill. i wanted to know if it was the way the medication is when it is made or if they purposely make it so it burns like a motherfucker.
i noticed that the sleeping pills and ephedrine pills both when chopped have an lustre in the light as if it contains crystilized substances. i figured this is what makes the nostrils burn so badly but i wasn't sure. any help would be greatly appreciated and if anyone knows of over the counter products that are better for snorting it would help too.

I'm not sure. One day out of sheer frustration at my lack of ability to breathe through my nose I snorted an Actifed (60 mg Pseudo, 2.5 mg Triprolidine). It didnt really burn, it jsut felt sorta warm and soft. I't didnt really clear my nost up all to well either.

Why do people think that you need to snort crushed up pills to get high, as if eating them wouldn't work.
And snorting Actifed???? Why would you think that would clear up your nose? You're blocking it up with mostly insoluable powder and chunks, it's becoming irritated-inflamed-swollen and the pseudoephedrine doesn't just clear your nose on contact. It works after it gets into your bloodstream.
There are very few medications in a pill form worth snorting. OTC sleeping pills (or any sleeping pills) and Actifed are definantly not in the worth it category.
 
this is so stupid. people snort pills so they can take advantage of a higher percent of the mdma in the pill and because pills are expensive. why the hell would you snort otc medication rather than just taking a second tablet. its not like cost is really a factor when it comes to otc
 
sorry guys but snorting them tends to hit me faster. and when i want to sleep in like 15 minutes instead of 45 i snort.

i'm not gonna down you pp despite my personal thoughts , but pills were not made to be snorted . therfore they don't really hit you any faster and the chronic pill sniffers are the ones who get nasal problems from sniffing.
I can't stop you from snorting OTC sleep pills , but I can give you some advice on it.
Don't bother to snort pills unless they are in hydrochloride form , because these disolve in water very well where others , just burn and don't hit you any faster. IF you want the sleeping pills to hit you faster then chew it.
This goes for benzos as well , they won't hit you any faster snorting it. I don't even bother to sniff oxy anymore because of the binders even know they are basacially ok to snort.
The only drugs I think anyone should snort are drugs that are made to be snorted where there is no other easy way to administer. such as coke , dope , k .etc
