Hey guys , I'm new to the forum and every time search for anything about drugs it always shows this. I just have a question. I've been snorting adderall for a while now, and I'm just worried that it may do something to my septum. I don't see any whole, I don't get nose bleeds, and I always do a daily saline rinse and use a q-tip with Vitamin k and anti biotic once a week. My right nostril is squeaking a bit when I inhale, but at the same time I was reading the side effects of snorting adderall. It may just be my hypochondriac nature since I'm getting a masters in nutrition and I'm just noticing it. My left is fine when my right is clogged from allergies. I've always had allergies , my nose is usually clogged , but this is freaking me out a bit.it could be nothing but I wanted to get your opinion. I don't have insurance so surgery would make me freak out more. I knew the dangers of doing if, but it helped me in the long run so don't judge me too harshly because I'm already doing that on top of my depression , aspergers, and PTSD. Thank you

^I don't imagine it would corrode your nose tissue on the level of something like meth or cocaine, but I'm sure chronic insufflation can't be great for your nose tissue either...
I'm pretty sure cocaine and meth have properties that actually destroy the tissue, partially due to the residue of corrosive chemicals that are used to synth and/or process those drugs...
The majority of the fillers used in adderall are inert ingredients when ingested orally, but even so, the nose isn't designed to constantly have powder shoved into it on a daily basis...

Have you researched any methods to extract a majority of the amphetamines whilst leaving a majority of the fillers behind?
I imagine the fillers more then anything would cause a majority of any nasal damage, and they also block the membranes from absorbing the amphetamines as well as they could be.
Also, fillers definetly get into your lungs when you snort pills which is terrible for your lungs as well.
I'd research some extracting methods and do large batches at one time, so you end up with much more potent powder that allows you to dose the same amount with a much smaller quantity of powder.

Most of the damage comes from dryness or snorted to forcefully. You can avoid virtually all the damage if you are gentle and sniff droplets of water when super dry.
The membranes being blocked by fillers will not occur so long as it is moist up there. When dry, due to the decongestant effect of the drug, it can become cement-like but it remains water soluble. It becomes a gel when wet, whether in your stomach or in you nose, it clearly dissolves into just fine in this state.
Also, if you put the straw into the second chamber of your nose where the septum is thicker and becomes bone there will never be a hole. I saw a graphic video of surgical for a perforated septum and the whole was surprisingly close to the opening of the nose. It was caused by cocaine use. It seems the individual did not even use a straw it was so far forward.

I got a terrible middle-ear infection from snorting Dexedrine (pharmaceutical very similar to Adderall, but pure dextroamphetamine).
Thinking of the pain makes me nauseous, the jaw/ears run against the trigeminal nerve, which is extremely sensitive. It was an infection named otitis media, there was phlegm in the middle ear easily observed by the doctor.
How the phlegm even got there makes more sense now that I read DankOpiAmp's post. The only pharmaceutical I would feel safe snorting now are buprenorphine/naloxone strips dissolved in filtered water in a syringe. Everything else has far too much filler, imo.
