Sneaky comedown

Had a bit of comedown this week. It wasn't a full blown one, just my mood has been a little off. For a few days (dropped MDMA Friday, started feeling off Monday) I got a bit down about the shitty things in my life, did 5htp for 1 day, helped. Next day I decided to skip the 5htp and have 2 beers and some weed in the evening, felt better (Thursday morn). Now mood has been yo-yoing between shit and great.

Mostly I cannot be bothered to do anything. Ideal = smoke weed, eat tasty food, watch tv. not good for working.
 
If you regularly smoke weed, my advice would be to do some things that need done, and cut back on the weed a bit and reward yourself with a little smoke.

I notice lots of threads by you mark your clearly trying to avoid the mdma comedowns but when you've taken enough mdma theres no other way to avoid them than to take a seat in the sitting out bench from mdma.

When you take mdma its not like taking up smoking or something, this stuff will deplete your serotonin, i like to think that every time you take ecstasy its like pressing your happiness button all your love and happiness will come out (if your buzzing from your dose that is) which is great when your spending time with friends but it will come back at you,

just take a little break i reckon, and do rewarding things and look after yourself and stay positive.

Very well said. Serotonin is a resource in your brain, and while you naturally spend it every day, MDMA just makes it spend it all at once for a hell of a good time!
 
Sorry just spouted it out, wondered about some feedback from similar experiences.

I did some 5htp again yesterday and feel better. That is I did 5htp on day 8 from dropping. I smoke weed every day, usually in the evening. But since the comedown I've been having a few cheeky joints in the daytime.

We're always taking an over-draft from our serotonin bank. It has to be repaid. Since switching to top quality MDMA I've noticed less of a comedown, actually none. This is the first time on the 'champagne quality' gear that I've seen a comedown. I am not going to drop for another 4 weeks at least. If not longer. Now that I've worked out the magic boost combo (tonnes of sleep 3 days before drop, empty stomach for 7 hours and drop 3 antacids) I can now do 1 x 150mg dose and leave it at that. I'm also drinking ph7.0 water so with the antacids it's prob really dropping my stomach acid and thus giving me a solid rip off my MDMA.

One thing - my 5htp Solgar bottle says take in between meals. But I read you should take it with food. I took it with food yesterday and it didn't make me feel as tired.
 
i dont know about 5-htp its something ive never bought,

L-Tyrosine is something ive bought and used though and your meant to take that on an empty stomach or it dont work.
 
L-Tryptophan on an empty stomach or taken with a meal with no protein/aminos as it competes for absorbtion with other aminos. Also creating an insulin spike following L-Tryptophan will cause it to be uptaken into the brain... Something about how insulin will drive other aminos into muscle but sending tryptophan into serotonin production.

And yup, post MDMA use alterations in mood that seem unusual/annoying can be expected... I certianly know about that!
