Smoking weed again after recovery from ganja psychosis?

So I had to quit weed a month or so ago because it was severely messing with my mind.(ganja psychosis). Had been smoking for about two years fairly heavily and have a sensitive brain chemical makep. Overdoing the weed with my mind was a poor choice on my part. But After the long 6 months or so of recovery, I wish to start up again, but want to make sure that even after my mInd is fully back to normal that smoking the occasional hit on special occassions won't send me into another bout of what I call ganja psychosis. Mental health is nOt something you want to play russion roulette with so I am turning to random strangers on the Internet for second thoughts and advice. I really want to start up again several mOnths from now on a much more occasional basis, but at the same time want to play it safe. I knOw that if I were to smoke some now while still in a state of recovery it wouldn't be good. Do you think smOkIng several mOnths from now would cause the same negative affect?

Well I feel o have been pretty redundant at this point, so any thoughts or suggestions on the matter would be greaty appreciated. Thanks

Wait for as long as you want. I've been and still am in your same boat. Allthough alot more reckless then you :( Id say start off with a tiny amount like 1 hit and feel it out from there, IME having a few beers beforehand benifits as alcohol has anti-anxiety effects. Also being somewhere comfortable is a big help.

EDIT: Oh and have something to focus on, dont just be sitting round doing nothing. Have something like a game to play or task of some sort. If the psycosis comes on you should have something to distract yourself. If you feel odd or depersonalized dont fight it, and dont try not to think about it, just know the weed will wear off soon and you should feel fine soon enough.

I don't understand the exact issue - why smoke cannabis at all if you are worried about something as serious as this?

Is it anxiety related? Paranoia?

I've been in the same place before.

I guess we all just want an enjoyable experience.

I stopped for several months, almost a year for the same exact reason.

Tried it, still got anxiety/paranoia.

Personally, I may try it once more and see if it varies to any degree...might try vaping.

Was wondering if cbd heavy strains could make a difference for the better.

See when me and my friend back in the high school days of first smoking weed...he got anxiety and panic attacks really bad....now he smokes everyday and loves it.

He always did well socially and never seemed to have much anxiety besides that.

I smoked and had similar experienced similar effects, but after years decided to quit....for some reason it just made my anxiety way worst to the point I felt it was for the best.

Yet my friend still is able to smoke and enjoy it....maybe its just learning to love it and tolerance.

I think that if you've had a mental issue arise from cannabis and/or psychedelic use it is crucial to examine yourself through introspection to find the cause/s and work on the emotional problems surrounding the issue. Anxiety/paranoia most likely can be traced to something in your past. They are natural emotions and will not disappear completely, they have their place! You need to unwind your mind and see where you are getting caught and work on it before using cannabis/psychedelics again. They can be part of the healing process but NOT if you abuse them! Abusing them in the first place brought issues to the surface.. it is what they do, it is what psychedelics are made for (turning you inside out).

I'd wait until you are in a good place and confident about yourself. If you're unsure then that would suggest you are not yet ready. Only you will know when the time is right, and if you do decide to try again, take it slow :)
