Smoking Tryptamines - health damage?

Hey people from the medical professions,

Would you say that there is anything particularly worrying about smoking these chemicals? Worrying in a sense of a delayed health hazard, such as cancer or other nasties. I'm asking about both natural tryptamines such as DMT and chemical ones like 5-Meo-DALT.

The plastic taste doesn't feel very safe to a layman, though the effect is a shorter, quicker high that is sometimes actually preferable.

@killtheego

sure chap, others will be aware that smoking anything is bad for you. and that tryptamines are good for you. goes without saying :)

what I was meant to ask those who know more than us, is how bad is it? relatively speaking... compared to smoking cigarettes or cannabis...

if your tryptamine is pure, and your vaporization technique is good (ie, boiling NOT burning), there should be minimal by-products of combustion entering your lungs (mostly pure drug). now, the express effects of such drug on lung tissue are not well studied, and there may be damage from heat or irritation, but there are far worse things in actual weed or tobacco smoke (metals that the plant has taken up, sooty particles, carbon monoxide, etc(
