I just bought some mollies and i tested the powder. Upon contact, the powder turned BLACK immediatly, but it also bubbled and smoked also. My question is, is that normal for MDMA to start to smoke?

Yessir (or ma'am), it is. Fizzing is actually a good thing in this case - it speaks well of the purity and/or strength, if I understand correctly. The last time I tested powder, it turned jet black on contact and fizzed quite violently for a few seconds.

You should trust the color more than the fizzing.
from looking at the result charts, it seems that fizzing *with pure samples* tends to be a property of tertiary amines, such as yohimbine and (especially) BZP/TFMPP, and to a certain extent DXM.
however, smoking/fizzing is not necessarily a result of the drug itself. some fairly standard fillers (e.g. calcium carbonate, and possibly even lactose) will evolve a gas when reacted with sulfuric acid.
so smoking/fizzing may not be a result of the drug itself, but actually the fillers.. therefore smoking shouldn't be considered a characteristic property, except possibly for DXM.

Sorry, I stand corrected. I dunno where I read that if you were otherwise pretty certain it was MDMA, that fizzing was an even better thing. I always forget the reagent is acid and so of course it's going to fizz on contact with calcium carbonate or gods know what filler the Average-Looking Whitish Powder could have been cut with.
