I just tested some orange aliens. When i applied the reagent it took 7-15 seconds to turn purple but there was a puff of smoke immediately. Is this DXM? I didn't think DXM would turn purple at all just grey black. After 30 seconds it was very dark blue purple.

I just retried the test and this is what happened
--after dropping reagent immediate white puff of smoke
--brownish in 3-4 seconds
--purple black in 10-15 seconds
--by 30 seconds dark purple

the purple colour makes me think it is very unlikely it is DXM. it is most likely an MDxx reaction, with the smoke either being from the MDxx, or from something in the binders/fillers...

Smoke is always a DXM reaction... but the only real way to know what you have is to use the EZ-test extreme kit.
I'm thinking your pill is probably a mix of the two - MDxx with a small amount of DXM. Personally, I'd be careful in taking it.

well i remeber people saying that high dose of mdma sometimes smokes sooo.
i hate it when a pill tests out perfectly and turns out to be week :(
hopefully yours will be other way around.
try half's if u cant get nother tester..

sorry, this just isnt true... constant smoking thru the entire reaction is usually indicative of DXM, but an intial puff of smoke, as was described here, has been seen many times in non-DXM tests.
could we please avoid unnecessary simplifications such as "smoke = DXM". dont use 3 words to describe something this complicated. this is science we are talking about.
do you think scientists writing up papers use so many words because they are being paid by the word? of course not. what is essential in science is clarity. and this is doubly essential when you are betting your life on this information...

I forgot to mention that my kit is almost 2 years old and the liquid is kind of beige. I have tested other pills with it in the last month and had a purple/black reaction in3-7 secs. Do you think this could delay the current reaction so long?

when test kts get old they tend to be less discriminating in what they give reactions to, ie they give more false positives. 2 years seems a bit long to be keeping a Marquis kit, might be time for a new one.
