Smoking Meth - Why is the comedown worse?

i have used meth for some time now on an occasional, recreational basis - both in cystal and pill form. i enjoy ingesting it orally and snorting it, however i only recently started smoking it.
the comedown is obviously not the most pleasant thing in the world, but why is it that i find the comdown from smoking it to be literally 100 times worse? even just smoking a small amount, for just one night, will leave me feeling like absolute shit for at least 2-3 days after. i feel constantly nauscous, have pounding headaches and bodyaches, and can generally not function - much worse than if i snorted or ate even a significantly higher amount.
this occurs when smkoing even the purest, uncut crystal. it is possibly even worse with pills - the small red ones manufactured throughout southeast asia.
does anyone else find this to be the case? and, more importantly, can anyone explain why???

i think you are right about the comedown. I think it's cuz it hits you SO instantly, that anything that hits instantly will make the comedown worse, and that anything that hits slowly will make the comedown a little more tolerable. So swallowing would be the least bad, then snorting, smoking, and then shooting.
Personally i love smoking but it's vicious on the comedown. I'm very wary.

First of all, smoking ANYTHING is harsh on you lungs -- and smoking non-plant matter like meth is even harsher on the lungs. If you are not used to smoking (ciggs, weed, anything) normally, then your lungs are probably pretty sensitive and putting the stress of meth-smoking on them can drag you down for a bit. As a non-smoker and an athlete, I always find that anytime I smoke anything I feel like absolute shit for next 2 days.
Another reason the comedown is worse is because the more direct of a route you choose for drugs administration - IV>smoking>snorting>ingesting - the more of a rush you get, and the less filtration you get. When you get more of a rush -- you get "higher" than usual -- then returning to a state of normalcy feels like even more of a letdown. And when you bypass your body's natural filters, you expose yourself to more of the toxins and byproducts of the meth. As a result, you get more bad effects when the initial rush wears off.
