Smoking Medical Marijuana

Aite so if you get your medical card can you just light up anywhere where you could smoke tobacco? Or do you have to be in a private rescidence?
 
It would help to know where you are. I'm sure in the states that have medical marijuana programs, different counties and towns have different local ordinances about this.

But why WOULD you do something like this, that only has the potential to make trouble for you? Do you really want to spend the opening moments of many of your marijuana highs explaining your legal and medical situation to taken-aback bystanders, perhaps including law enforcement officers? Does it really help the cause of medical marijuana, when you're waving it in the face of everyday citizens, who may or may not approve of it, and might not want their kids being exposed to it?

Are you really that hard up for private places to get chiefed? I've always been able to find places to sneak a toke, even in some of the most weed-unfriendly places.
 
Yeah MyDoorsAreOpen, it's a valid question. I'd certainly like to know whether or not I could cheef in public if I had my card. And it can feel quite nice to get high in a beautiful public place I don't think anyone should be bothered by it if they are its their problem not the smoker's, unless they're blowing smoke in someone's face. It could be good for the public to see responsible smokers use in public.
 
Dude trust me on this no matter how civil/good a person you are when toking up. All the average person will think is OMGZZZHEIZSMOKINGTEHWEED!1' and instantly label you as bad. Medical or not.
 
I'm just saying, I would only toke publicly in a place where there was local documented legal precedent for public consumption being tolerated, and I was hardly the only one openly doing it. I say don't be a hero and cause yourself unnecessary difficulty.
 
Shit, just roll up to McDonald's in an Escalade and wave a blunt at the window person is what I would do, imo. Then go back home for another bowl. =D
 
First off i live in Cali. Secondly i dont really care if someone labels me and i would never smoke in an innapropiate area. Im mainly talkin about law enforcement and what they would do? or can they do anything cause its prescribed?

And i personally could wait to smoke but i kno some people really need it just to function.
 
I lived in Norcal for some time. I had my 215. The cops hardly care about people smoking cannabis, unless they are bored. If you have your certificate, they cannot do a damn thing about it.

Smoke up.
 
I agree with the moderator. Not only does it hurt the cause, it's just not necessary to go blowing it around, toking blatantly in front of people and getting the attention of law enforcement.
 
how does it hurt the cause. I think it would better to show the public that marijauna is really a harmless drug.
 
Well if u roll it lyk a normal browns how they gona kno its weed?? Yah sure they can smell it but only if they taken it before an with the right mix of baccy who can realy tell ??????

Or you can do what my overly drug generous friend does at the drive thru window...which is, if the cashier looks like anyone besides a manager, he tells them to hold out their hand and drops a nug of kush. This is so priceless and stupid all at once.

makes for some happy mcD employees though.
 
ight so hypothetically what if a some town's police really pissed you off & arrested you before. Perhaps i'd be worth paying a visit to there police station to smizzokkee ah phattie?
Assuming california i guess cause most states would arrest you anyway lol.

A man weighed 30+oz's of Marijuana in front of a police station(props to you dude) legally after winning it back in court as seen linked through this site.
 
I guess this thread is just further proof that my smokage of the cannabis is all for the drug effect, and not as a symbol or statement to anyone.

Absolutely true. Once I was waiting at a bus stop with a guy who was smoking a rolled cigarette and a lot of the people who drove by were rubber necking and pointing and it was not even weed.

And once I was with a family friend who unfortunately is very socially conservative and she was about to call the cops on some people who were smoking a hookah outside where we were. She then had to be told that it was tobacco shisha that they were smoking and she calmed down. Which is funny since it is a more harmful and addictive drug. Don't use this drug, use this one.:|
