Smoking Daytrana (Methlyphenidate)

So, my friend reports that she can scrape off the coating on the daytrana patches and smoke the gooey shit that she collects. She says that she feels the effects and it works; she smokes it in a straight shooter.

My question is, is this even possible? And yes, it obviously is nasty as hell so please dont comment on how disgusting this is as it is a waste of time.

Can this work? Or is this placebo>?

Well if it does work I am almost positive it is very unhealthy.

Very unhealthy.. Mmmm Id say she IS getting an effect off it... But is it really worth it?
Long term use smoking the goo you've scraped off a patch has gotta be a bad thing IMO

I'm sure it works, I mean people smoke fentanyl patches. Can't taste great, but to each there own.
