Smoking Chamomile?

I can't smoke weed because it induced some pretty retarded anxiety in me (this was a couple months ago). I'm about 80% better now, and am still climbing upward toward being completely fine again. I miss smoking a lot, (not weed, just smoking in general) and was thinking that I could smoke chamomile, which is an anxiolytic. I mean the raw herb, which I can get from Amazon, not the processed tea bag shit. So I'd be knocking down two birds with one stone: 1. I'd be able to smoke again. 2. It would actually help my anxiety.

Thing is, I read a couple random internet posts saying you can pass out from it and never wake up. Sounds like bullshit seeing as people drink it all the time and nothing happens, so smoking it shouldn't be that much different, right? And if it is dangerous, what are some things to smoke that aren't potent. just relaxing, and are 100% harmless?

Chamomile? Seriously? Doubt you'd get much of anything from that other than a bit of lightheadedness.

As for legal anxiolytics for smoking... there's damiana, kanna, lion's tail, skullcap and passionflower. I haven't actually tried any of these myself, and they are generally reported to have mild effects from what I understand, so they might be worth a shot if you are looking for something mild. Kanna is reported to contain a serotonin reuptake inhibitor, while passionflower contains MAO-inhibiting harmala alkaloids - so keep those things in mind as far as safety is concerned if you choose to try them.

If you aren't hellbent on smoking something, there's valerian, kava and kratom. Kratom (and possibly kava? not sure) can be addictive though, as it targets opioid receptors. Kratom can be smoked but its a very inefficient route from what I understand. There's also the amino acid L-Theanine. I've tried it and haven't found it useful, but everyone reacts differently and some people seem to swear by it. Oh and there's Phenibut - but tolerance, dependence and withdrawal can definitely be issues with Phenibut.

Also, I hope you realize that there's no such thing as "100% harmless" when it comes to inhaling smoke into your lungs. No getting around that.

Well I meant the drug itself being harmless. I know smoking in general isn't healthy haha. But thanks for the reply.

It is a very mild anxiolytic.
Its much better off as a tea.

I have smoked it before but not on its own. It was rather harsh.

I used to blend it with lemon balm and K2 (which is Damiana + various JWH compounds) because the K2 tasted funky...

It might be worthwhile if you make your own smoking blend, but chamomile on its own will do you little good smoking wise. You'd need to smoke a good bit of it.

There are plenty of herbs that all on their own have very mild sedative/anxiolytic/GABA-ergic effects, they are best taken as a tea; they tase good too!

Try making a tea of chamomile, lemon balm, lemon grass, valerian, skullcap, passion flower, hibiscus, rose hip, spear mint, and orange blossom; I know this doesn't help your craving to smoke, but when it comes to these herbs, trust me from experience they are just better off as a tea, the smoke will always be harsh; think old cigg you found in the back seat of your car thats been baking in there for years... sure you can smoke it but your lungs and taste buds would rather you didn't.
