Smoking After Cannabis (Bad Trip) Induced Derealization?

Okay all I have to say is don't feel like you can smoke again just because you are feeling better now!
I'm 19 I went through the same experience when I was 15. It took me FOREVER to get over the trip. But eventually(at least 2 years) I got over it. I started thinking well maybe it was laced and if I do it again nothing will happen...so I did and the same reaction happened. Now all the same sensations I had the first time are back..after all the hard work of trying to get over it the first time it happened! (i feel fake like I'm dreaming Or reality isn't real anymore.) I'm so pissed at myself for doing it again trust me its not worth it!

I have had the same problem, but due to a synthetic cannabinoid and not regular cannabis. Yours does seem to be a worse case thought.

Do not smoke cannabis again for the foreseeable future. The same things happen with panic attacks too, I've heard stories of people who've smoked for years and had no problems, then at one point they "randomly" get a major panic attack after a joint. On any subsequent smoke (even months after) they would get a panic attack again.

Now whether the experience happening after smoking again is due to the cannabis or down to your mindset, I'm not sure. It could be that cannabis is just going to cause that situation again, or it could be that you have some form of PTSD (not really PTSD but best way I can describe it?) where you're panicking about it happening again and that panic results in it occurring again after a smoke.

Just keep away from cannabis. If the disadvantages outweigh the benefits, then why do it again? The important thing is to remember that this is most likely temporary. It may be fine a few weeks from now, a few months, or even a few years but you should begin to notice it becoming either not as strong, or you get used to it.

I'm not sure if this is factual advice, but try and keep out of stressful situations. A few years after getting DR/DP I got a) robbed and b) into a huge argument with someone (different times) and I got stronger dissociative episodes straight afterwards. I don't know whether this can be attributed towards the anxiety I have, or whether it's DR/DP, but it's something to keep in mind.

DR/DP may be uncomfortable, but you can live with it. Good luck!
