Opioids smoking 5-7 bags of 3-methylfentanyl/day - how long till i can take bupe?

hey guys,

I'm from Europe, Scandinavia.

we dont have oxy, hydro, dilaudid or, well, even heroin (not since 2003) or any of those other opiate goodies.

concerning the drug scene its basically speed, E, GHB/GBL, fentanyl and bupe. speed,fent and bupe are IV'd by 90% of users, i'd say, although some do sniff their speed. its very inexpensive as opposed to fentanyl, for instance, which is CRAZILY expensive.

i dont IV my fentanyl, i choose to smoke it. have IM'd it 2 times.

been using it since August 2010.
used to sniff it till Jan/Feb 2011 when i discovered that if you really take care of your smoking habits, its not wasteful at all and the high is instant and all.

anyway, im at 4-7 bags a day atm although i can easily do 14 bags in a day but thats not usual. the minimum is 4-5 and max is 7-10.

i want to come off it. too expensive. its crazy.

so ive gotten myself some Suboxone 8mg, 10 of 'em.
i also have 3 0.2 Temgesic which i got from the Philippines.

how long before i can start with bupe and what dosage would you at first recommend?
this is going to be all done by myself, no doctor or stuff like that involved.

oh, and one more thing - how should i dose my bupe? sublingually (like it meant to) or sniff it?

any opinions are really appreciated.

well, i would wait until I was in withdrawal to take the bupe. There is actually an opiate w/d checklist online where u check off symptoms and add up the points and if you are over a certain number than u are safe to take bupe.

Also, ime, I find that the first dose usually requires more (about 2x) than all the doses afterwards.

I have taken the bupe sublingually, but that's just me. I know sniffing has a higher bioavailability than sublingually, but i have just prefer the sublingual route for this one. I've read on this forum that if u take bupe sublingually w hard alcohol like vodka, it increases the bioavailability. to get the most out of my bupe, I'd let it sit in a pool of saliva in my mouth instead of sucking down on it quickly, bc eating it kind of is a waste. another reason why, at
least for the first dose, I wouldnt be able to sniff it bc when im in w/d, my nose runs like a faucet, therefore the sniffed bupe would get flushed out or the mucous wud prevent the bupe from getting absorbed. But after that first dose, it would be possible. i'd filter it and make a nasal spray so i wudnt get all that gook.

Also, in studies, the way I have read to determine the proper dosage is a method kind of like this: take a estimated starting dose (like for u, i'd start w 4mgs)
wait about 20-30minutes, assess ur comfort. if needed, then take an additional 2mgs.
wait 20-30 mins, then assess ur comfort, if needed, take another 2 mgs.


congrats on making this move. u'll be glad to hear that i have read research that said the best way to get off of opiate addiction is a quick taper with methadone or suboxone (bupe), my guess is bc there is no PAWS bc u aren't taking the long half-life medicine for years.

I'd take 2-4mg, see how you feel after 20 minutes. Still feeling shitty take 1mg, and so on. Try to take the least amount possible. It'll keep you outta WD, but thats all your gonna get out of it. So no point in taking a lot chasing some high that will never be there. Less is more with subs anyways.

Fent is pretty short acting, but I'd wait 24 hrs after your last dose. Or until you feel shitty enough to know your definitely in withdrawals. For me its easy to tell, I just look at my eyes and if my pupils are all big like I'm on blow, I'm there.

do i need to take a sip of vodka, hold it in my mouth while the sub is dissolving? is it that easy?

80mg of bupe is quite a bit actually. I'd personally snort it to get the most out of it, this way you'll have plenty of time to get off. 1mg snorted per day should be sufficient.

Fentanyl analoges generally have short half-lifes and so I imagine you will go into full withdrawal relatively soon. You should be able to tell when this is and at this point you'll be safe to take the bupe.

but someone, please, tell me about the 'vodka method' ?
does it really work, raise the bioavailability substantially?
if so, how exactly does it have to be done?
stick a bupe under your tongue and let it melt while holding a sip of vodka in your mouth?
sounds extremely gross (to me, because ive always HATE HATE HATED alcohol) but if it raises the availability as much as ive read (up to 70% or so) then i think its worth a try.

someone please elaborate.

^It seems to raise it a bit, sublingual is generally around 30% with Suboxone and nasal is like 50% or so... Adding alcohol to sublingual administration raises it a bit but not to the level of nasal admin, so maybe a 20-50% increase in strength could be expected.

To do it, the idea is to prime the mouth for absorption with alcohol. Something like inserting a cotton ball with alcohol or swishing alcohol around immediately before putting the Suboxone under would accomplish this.

I personally didn't care for this and preferred to snort when I was in your situation but YMMV.
